A Skyfall view

I just came home from a two day trip in London. I got a very nice surprise when I saw the view from my hotel room. B-)

I stayed at Club Quarters at Trafalgar Square. I stayed in room 912, but I believe that almost all the rooms on the 9th floor is facing towards Big Ben.

I haven't been to London In years ( the last time was a week after 7/7 )
and didn't realise how many Union Flags where about, From the skyfall trailer
I thought some Major event had happened ( like many MI6 agents killed )
Or is it just for the Olympics.

No it's called Club Quarters, but there was a Grand Hotel sign outside, believe there is two hotels located there.

The use of the Union Flag was a drive by the Blair administration to promote British and Britishness after 7/7. Prior to that policy, planning permission was needed to errect a flag/flagpole. Now, anyone can put a Union Flag up and it flies proudly atop most government buildings, and some private ones too...we have one at my work.

It's about time us Brits can be proud of who we are and put a flag up to show it without some tosser telling us to take it down in case we upset some one from another galaxy far far away.
