    My, my - some of you guys seem so threatened every time a Bond actress tries to find another dimension to their characters other than just being the pretty "eye candy". So what if they want their characters to be a bit more complex or viewed as fellow agents who are potentially on par with 007? Do you honestly believe any Bond movie would feature a Bond girl that is really "Bond's equal"? Hell, none of the other male characters are ever truly shown to be Bond's equal - Bond always wins! So let's lighten up, fellas, and just enjoy the movie! ;)

    Unusually and with regret I disagree with you on this one. It's not at all threatening, just a dreadful cliche and one that is an almost inevitable feature of each and every Actress with boring regularity. I would really welcome more complex roles for women, and see no inherent difficulty with beauty and complexity but please enough already with the 'Bonds equal' schtick.

    Fair enough, my friend. I vaguely remember some of the same type of chatter from Michelle Yeoh and Halle Berry about their Bond girl roles, but I wasn't aware that this issue came up with such regularity as to become a cliche. But then, I don't recall a LOT of things these days - old age, you know! :))

    Skyfall looks very promising, but I'm so tired of the "Bond's equal" line. One of the best, most complex and interesting Bond girls was Vesper. No Bond's equal BS there.

    Though what they say isn't particularly interesting Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe come across as attractive, articulate and friendly. I am looking forward to seeing how their characters come across in the film.

    One thing for sure is that BERENICE MARLOHE is working her arse off making the most of the products / interviews / etc before she fades off into obscurity!

    On another note I guess there is prob a 1% chance of her survival during Skyfall as I can't see them bumping off Harris :D

    It probably doesn't make any difference to those of you who are tired of hearing the line about the female leads being Bond's equal, but in an earlier videoblog Harris says that Eve "kind of sees herself as Bond's equal. She's not, but that's how she sees herself." That puts a bit of a different spin on it if you ask me.

    I'd like to think I am reasonable. I usually do not mind if my mistakes are pointed out to me by others but I thought you were being rude with this. 8-)

    Apology accepted, I will now happily remove the apostrophe. Or should I say the dreaded apostrophe because I am not always certain when to use it, the same goes for the comma.
