When you cut them they fray very nicely...I bought two scarves which made four SkyFall versions (already in the hands of friends) and they fray the more you wear them....by the way, I paid way more than Loft...so good find!

It's like a rich cocoa brown. I would say no hints of red whatsoever

I have the same Tom Ford scarf like Jared (from the same ebay seller) and one Tom Ford Scarf from The Loft. The Loft scarf is the same one as seen in DZ Video Podcast "N.Peal Skyfall Sweater Review". Both are dark espresso brown.
Little side note: When I first time placed my order for this brown scarf at The Loft,
I got this one here:
I have returned this scarf and luckily got my money back.
After a few weeks, they offered the same scarf with the same picture again.
On my second order, I got also not the light brown scarf from the picture, but this time I got an espresso brown scarf and I was pleased.
Here is the dark brown scarf from The Loft. It is similar to the DC scarf on the screenshots from the movie. Because of this footage was edited in the post-production to bring the pictures into the filmlook, I always find it a bit hard to make a 100% binding statement about a hue. I therefore think, the photos from the set are better able to proof the color.
The slightly lighter and a little more brownish scarf with the woven in Tom Ford logo at one corner matches the color of the set photo very well. Particularly good to see, by the contrast between the scarf and the brown leather of the barbour jacket. This one is also slightly finer weave, which in my opinion, also corresponds more to the fraying of the Skyfall scarf.
But how Welshboy78 wrote in a previous post, maybe we will never know for sure what scarf is definitely the SA one.
For those interested in 100% cashmere brown scarves but can´t find the TomFord there seems to be a few different brands on amazon.
Color matching to SA is a bit difficult to tell though 8-)
