    Great, now I found myself looking for the watch as I really fell in love with it. Sadly I couldn't find it...yet :-)

    You ain't kiddin'. Me too! Prompted me to go into the Omega store and try on a Deville:

    IMG_0961.jpg

    The sales person almost had me convinced about financing that one, but the absence of the chronograph made me not do it (well, that and the TF Harrington :)) ) I showed him ExpatJB's picture, and he said he doesn't see Omega ever doing that again, for what it's worth.

    There are quite a few older watches about for decent prices, that one of expat jb's really does look nice and is only 7 years older than mine. Mine has the much maligned 3313 movement, though I've never had a problem with it and I've owned it for 10 years or so. I don't wear mine very often these days but always enjoy it when I do. Good luck guys hunting down your watches

    Chris, your watch from the 1930's looks like something Howard Hughes would wear -{ ( Really that icon should be milk.)
    :)) Well those were both my grandfather's and I've never touched them so they are as he left them. He wore the omega SM300 mostly for the last 10 years of his life ( died in 1980) interesting the Howard hughes reference as my Grandfather also flew planes. I have seen pictures of him in the Indian jungle with pith helmet and long shorts outside a fokker type plane, he went on to fly in the raf during ww2 and wore that junghans watch, which is very ironic, a British pilot wearing a German watch while fighting Germans, very sad really. But who knows, the crack in the crystal may have been caused by entering a spitfire?

    I would have liked to buy your Grandfather a drink! If he was in the Indian jungle, did he fly "the hump"?

    That I don't know, I was only 5 when he died, I do know he never spoke about his time flying or the war at all, he was a happy and very gentle man and did his duty for his country but was obviously deeply affected by his undertakings it made him very peaceful and mild mannered.

    Ouch, my timing is always off. Could only afford financing right now, and even that would require significant convincing of my wife :)) I'll keep it in mind for when I'm more financially able. Thanks man! -{

    :)) yeah, temptation does suck, and I seem to be living in a state of perpetual temptation this year due to the TF Harrington taking up the vast majority of my Bond clothing budget for this year. Oh well, I'll just have to expand the budget next year to make up for the loss :D

    It hurts..... A lot, I just get eaten away particularly with watches, if I see something I want it just gnaws away until I have to scratch that itch :) Bond 44 has me hot for a black ceramic po at the moment, so much so I've sold a couple of watches to fund one. Now I've seen the new po with the new Arabic indices zr02 dial detail and segmented bezel detail and I WANT ONE :#

    :)) good one man. I actually got the smallest size offered. For once being the smallest guy comes in handy, as I probably couldn't sell/trade the jacket if I wanted/needed to :))
