It looks as though Mr Fleming had a better insight into the Japanese character than we knew! I never took the "poison garden" plot in "You Only Live Twice" very seriously until I found this video on Youtube today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FDSdg09df8

    I recently re-read You Only Live Twice, and I must say Shatterhand's garden of death struck me as a great concept which I wish we could see on film some day. And as you point out with your link, it is not as far-fetched as it may seem.
