The Omega Seamaster Pro from Casino Royale (or as close to it as I can get).

May seem a bit modest to some, but I'm still young and in the process of establishing a career, so I hope to buy it as a celebratory thing when I really feel I've 'made it'.

Can't quite get my head round your question ....... You are aware that the main location for DAF was Vegas? Are you aware that Slumber Inc is two real life Vegas mortuaries? Well one downtown and one in Henderson. Therefore, as Markus knows I spend a fair bit of time in Vegas each year, it's not unreasonable for him to make that comment. See photo below

Those chartreuse curtains are quite restful--we'll just have to work harder to "earn" this prop somewhere.

Not modest at all. That was my dream item too - at least as far as realistic items are concerned. I hit 5 years with my company earlier this year and got a nice bonus, so figured now was the time to fulfill the dream! I've had my CR Seamaster Pro for about 2 months now, and absolutely love it! Hope you get to experience that feeling someday too! {[]

I have the Omega Planet Ocean 50 years watch which Daniel wore in Skyfall at the begining of the film. I love my Omega watch and it always a talking point. Don't get me wrong it cost me £2600 which I think was an amazing price but I will be paying it off for another year yet. If I ever win the Euro Millions lottery I will buy you all one. Every Bond fan should have the joy of owning an Omega.

And what would yours be? A life-size wax replica of Mr. Dalton perhaps? I only ask because follow-up posts on the Rolex forum state the Tudor had a moisture problem and not a sticker. Will you be changing your name? :D
  • HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,618MI6 Agent
    psssst ;%

Not that I am afraid of a name change - I am still convinced that there was a sticker on the crystal and so are others.

The poster on TRF had quite an attitude and I am sure that he was still keeping his story after he's discovered and removed the sticker.

it may come as a supprise ,but I wouldn't want an Aston ,too much hassle (certainly for my current standard of living)
as some of you may recall I had use of the firms V12 and to be honest it was a pain in the neck to have , speed bumps width restrictors, carpark ramps, now if I lived in Florida ,it would be a different story ,but London forget it ,
I would love to own a pair of Jack Purcells OTR ,I can get most of the other bits and bobs its just a question of saving up
or finding a suitable replica shall we say, but OTR no one is selling them or even a fake copy 8-)
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

Apart from the obvious ones (an Aston, or Eva's knickers or better still just Eva herself ;% ), id settle for the Thunderball jet pack (make getting into work much nicer than British Rail ) or any of the Tom Ford suits...

I've been in contact with Bill Suitor and he'll make and sell you an identical, working "rocket belt" for under USD $100K.
He'll even fly and sign it!

One other item I regret not having snagged when prices were reasonable is the Carti Mundi Casino Royale poker sets.. They were all over Amazon at one point for around 70 bucks I believe.. passed at the time and now they seem to be nonexistent..

Gotta go with most everyone else and say DB5. Trouble is, ignoring the purchase cost and maintenance, thanks nonetheless to same I'd be terrified of driving it: that "nick" alone which Craig notes in CR could cost USD $50K to fix!

Some of my more realistic wants are, indeed, reasonably realistic, it's just a question of said item coming on the market.

For example, I'd really like a readily recognizable, screen-used miniature of some sort, like the Q Boat (which I had a chance to get but the seller ultimately balked [though I suspect he actually got a better offer]). I have several pieces now but nothing which someone would instantly say "oh, I know what that's from."

A gold bar -- one with verifiable provenance -- from GF would be cool; trouble is, there are way too many fakes, including mis-identified props from The Italian Job.

The couple of costumes I've really wanted -- Stromberg and Drax uniforms -- I finally acquired (though an MR astronaut -- Drax or Marine -- is still on my want list ... though not all seriously [I mean, where the hell do you put that?]). Otherwise, I'm generally content with replicas; as noted above, I contacted Suitor about doing a static Rocket Belt but they're only interested in making working versions (frankly, probably easier for them and with a higher profit margin).

Mostly we've cited props and costumes here; there are some commercial pieces which are nearly out of reach financially that I'd like to find all the same: action figures (particularly Kissy Suzuki) by Cecil Coleman, the Sears exclusive Bond figure from Gilbert, and -- tops on my list -- the Special Agent Car by Irwin Plastics (pricey but not unobtainable, I just keep losing out on them thanks to brainless eBay sellers; note this isn't a Bond item per se but a clear knock-off).

I regret not buying CR plaques on eBay when "they were too expensive" at $800 each! How can we put a price on such lovely plastic?

I'll take "Little Nelly" first, and the Bell Jet pack, second. In the meantime, or whenever possible, I'll settle for any version of the Connery era shoulder holster, but they're becoming more difficult to obtain, apparently.

Ever been there though? The real interior is nothing like the film and it ain't exactly the most livable space!

    Really?

I have been there a couple of times and there seemed to be enough actual filming having taken place inside. Probably the most recognisable being the spiral staircase.

I'm only conscious of the staircase and the redressed gift shop. Everything else -- bedrooms, hall, office -- in the film is a set. Not the stables -- equestrian museum and show ring -- and track, of course, but I'm talking habitable space in the main residence; beyond really not having as many rooms as you think it would, the place struck me as short on plumbing and HVAC!

Yes, I've been just the once and thought it was beautiful. Have to admit the heating bill would be a nightmare. Maybe I should be more reasonable and go with Palmyra... New Providence island not Antibe for the same reason.

Palmyra needs a good going-over but it's generally in great shape and clearly in a great location. Current owner has been there awhile, might be on the market in the not too distant future (like within the next ten years). It's iconic to us but the locals don't value that so much; Bahamas property -- outside the truly exclusive developments -- still seems reasonably affordable.

I have this fantasy that I buy it, restore it, and turn it into high end Bond theme accommodation. You know where celebs are picked up at the airport in a 66 blue mustang and get to skeet shoot and stay in the Largo suite.
