Sadly I play Bass too. :)) admittedly I 'd be the worst of the three of us.
But what I lack in skill, I make up with a wild sexual performance. ! :))

I agree Quantum of Solace is underrated, but to say it's the very best is a big stretch.

I'm with you. I think QOS is fine, but certainly not the best Bond film. Not even top 5 in my opinion.

No you can't ! You are both barred for a comment like that X-(

And why have a "half decent title song" when we already have the fabulous Another Way To Die ?:) :p

Another Way To Die is not only the worst bond song, but one of the worst songs I've ever heard :# Sorry to any fans of it, but it's just the way I feel.

As for the film itself, it is ok but just doesn't really feel like a bond film.

QoS is clearly Craig's weakest entry. The film has some strong points: everything involving hotels, the clock tower fight and the opera sequence come to mind. But there are too many weak links: the title song, the editing and some of the filming and probably the worst henchman in the history of Bond. The villan is interesting, but not threatning enough. He gets two really good monologues, though. It looks to me as the director must take much of the blame. Editing and photography are done by the editor and DoP, but the director supervices them and it feels like he has given them the wrong guidelines. Too often it feels like a failed Bourne copy. It's not a horrible film. I watch it from time to time, but it is weak Bond movie

I suspect I like QOS a bit more than you do, but I am in general agreement with most of your points.

You're right. I didn't realize it at first, but Elvis is more of a "social secretary" than a henchman. :))

I went to see QOS 7 days in a row when it came out. total about 15 times at the theatre! it just a fast paced feel good bond romp! this might blow your minds (and shouldn't say it since I am new here) but here goes...I have not watched any other bond film beginning to end since DC did CR! can't and won't DC is the only bond for me!

Yes, he would need a little less conversation, a little more action to qualify. ;%

I don't get the hate on "Another Way To Die". It's in my top 5 favourite Bond songs for sure, I'm just always so surprised at the amount of dislike it gets.

Watching 'Wolf Hall' has night has Mathew Almaric as Chapuys, the French ambassador.

Also has Jonathan Pryce as Cardinal Wolsey. Makes you wonder who made him ham it up in TND?

I really don't like it. A poorly written and produced song in my opinion and at times they just sound like they're shouting at each other! But.. each to their own. One man's fave is another man's worst and all that. At the end of the day it's still Bond so I love to hate it! :D
