Probably the worst dialogue from the trailer. It made me cringe!

Why, it shows that MP has faith in JB, shows what the audience thinks too, we all have faith in JB to get the job done.

The lines are just too obvious and forced. Casino Royale was guilty of a lot of this.

That is the exact line i had at the end of skyfall. At the beginning of the movie Mallory was saying "Why didn't you stay dead, there's no shame in saying you lost a step." And at the end it is like Bond is just getting started.

It reminds me of the ending to the original true grit when the girl thinks Rooster Cogburn is too old to keep being in this bounty hunter business, and John Wayne hops on his horse and jumps over the picket fence just to show hes still got it :D

D.C.'s bond is getting too old, that's the point, that he still kicks ass despite his age. There in lies the Tennyson poem about Ulysses

I must be the only one, who doesn't think Craig as Bond looks old?
He looks fine to me. :)

A bit too obviously meta but works fine for a trailer.

    I have to agree.
And Dalton was falling into a similar trap may I say?

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

The line's okay, but I'm not sure about Naomi Harris's delivery. It should've been more sulty, instead it comes out as a high-pitched squeak.

Bond's line about Mexico City is too wordy to be a good quip. It should've been more like:

"Mexico City. What were you doing there?"

"An overdue holiday, sir." With a beat before "sir."

    Not really, TP.

But Dalton also had some pseudo-deep/cool lines as well.

salt - corrosion comes to mind as an example
Or even worse "If He Fires Me I'll Thank Him For It."

He looks younger than in Skyfall (in which they deliberately used unflattering lighting to make him look gaunt from his fall injuries)

Never really get the age thing, yeah he looks older naturally from CR but not someone who is ready for retirement, maybe watch DAF, DAD and AVTAK for good measure. Watched Skyfall earlier, must be the fastest Bond we have had on screen ever (sprinting through London). I bet his fitness is prob unmatched compared to the other Bonds in real life, keeps himself it top shape

Looks younger in SPECTRE anyhow {[]

Dalton's delivery made them work, and I don't think they were such bad lines to begin with.

    I loved Dalton's delivery of " Yes, I got the message " -{

I agree. Not nearly as bad as Lazenby's "He's branched off" :P

Lazenby really didn't pull off "He had lots of guts" particularly well, though it was a fantastic line. I hope we get some like that in Spectre.

Lazenby pulled all his lines off with aplomb, for a non actor he did a truly amazing job. B-)

I was going to name that one too, but I do know we have a member which uses that line as a username here, I like the guy and didn't want to offend someone for no reason. Yes the line was good, Lazenby (In my oppinion) just was terrible at pulling them off.

Correct! And the fact that a non-actor followed up Sean Connery is still beyond me! Imagine something like that happening nowadays!

Also, to get on the topic of this thread. I agree with the OP. A great line, nothing cringe-worthy there in my opinion! From the trailer it already shows there's some great dialoque in this movie, which is always welcome!

When I saw the title of this thread my mind went to the Goosebumps trailer I saw in front of Ant-Man. That really looked like crap.

Dalton's "whoever she was I must have scared the living daylights out of her" was fantastic.
