Eric, carry on loving what you love. Don't let anyone put you off. These are only
opinions, they carry no weight have only have the same value as your opiniins. :)
I love the Bonds, and honestly can't understand half the problems others find in
    them. ;)
It's like having someone you love and purposely going out of your way to find
    faults in them. :D

What is wrong with CR dialogue. I'm curious. Examples?

The scene on the train where Bond meets Vesper. It's one of the worst scenes of the series.

I have to agree, I personally found Eva Green cringe-worthy in this scene. Her delivery is terribly forced and not at all like a natural flowing conversation, it's like she is reading from a cue-card or something and she is just waiting to get the next (terrible) line out.

DC is not much better either.

When they get to Montenegro and the Casino things do improve.

Wow! We can't be farther apart, I think it's brilliant personally!
The body language both characters give out, the teasing dialoque, the anticipation of what is about to happen on this mission. I personally think it's one of the strongest scenes in the movie! Honestly!

Especially when compared to the dialoque of the movie that came before. The first scene Bond meets Jinx comes to mind... Now THAT is bad dialoque...

Tbh that scene doesn't really bother me.

It's really some of the dialogue before the swordfight and at the ice palace (plus the "Time to face gravity!" line that gets me a bit.

And overall, the DAD dialogue doesn't bother me TOO much, though I won't deny it could've been better (and it's the film's biggest weakness for me).

I'm prob one of the very few on here who likes DAD more than CR (though I'll prob get burned at the stake for saying that).

I believe the main cause of this "interesting" dialogue goes to Paul Haggis, the American Script writer who had just taken off after the movie Crash when he helped write the CR script.
    And to be honest, I am flabbergasted that You prefer DAD over CR, but that's the beauty of this forum. We all have different opinions and they are all caused but our own likes/dislikes and experiences with the films. -{

Objectively, OHMSS might be the very best EON Bond film.

Do you think one of the non-EON Bond films was better?

I've never seen them, so I couldn't compare.

FRWL has one of my least fave BGs in Tatiana Romanova (there are others I dislike more, but I'm not a fan of her), but objectively, it might sit in the Top 5 of BFs. After all, it is a classic spy thriller in it's own right.

YOLT easily has one of Connery's weakest performances as Bond (although I personally give his performance in that movie a B average) and the story is a bit flawed (Japanese Connery?! Japanese wife?! All to infiltrate a volcano base?! Come on!!!).

As for GE, I prefer not to comment on that one's flaws, as I am a Brosnan fan.

You are correct, my mistake, I was thinking more subjectively. YOLT is a personal favorite,

I don't think there is really a flawless Bond film, GF is close, but James never really does much until the end of the movie,

I can totally get someone having YOLT as a personal fave Bond film. Lewis Gilbert does happen to be my fave Bond director.
