Could be a V1 or V2. Both were identical in appearance, but varied in fit. The biggest sign that it's a V1 is the obnoxiously long sleeve length. If this is the gentelmens normal size in jackets and the sleeves are longer than his usual, then it's likely a V1. Otherwise, it's likely a V2.

Chri360936, it could be beneficial to your sale of the jacket to attempt a verification of the version. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hi James.

I'm not sure what version it is. If you or any other members have photos of the two versions i could compare against that could be helpful in seeing the arm length vs the body of the jacket.

The best comparison ever done was by our very own Jared_Nomak, and discussed on post 212 of this thread:

Here is a picture from that post for quick reference:






That is a picture of a V2 medium on top of a V1 medium. You can see that the V1 is significantly longer in jacket and sleeve length.

So, I would say that if your normal size is small and the arms are really long on you, then it's a V1. And, if the arms are short and the jacket length sits high, it's a V2. Do keep in mind that these jackets run a bit large to begin with, as my XS is far from snug tight, but the sleeve and jacket length on my V3 are perfect. If your normal size is not small, it will be difficult to confirm. Hope that helps. -{

My best guess is that it is a v2 but it is just a guess. The body seeems short to me on the jacket I have for sale.

The body runs short in general per the design, so that might not be the best indicator. It's hard to verify the version, I just thought it might help your sale if you could prove it's a V1, as that is the screen accurate jacket.

The arms on my small (which I believe to be from the second run in late 2012) are approx 25" and the chest is nearer a true small size of 36-38. The leather is thinner too in my version compared to the v1

Didn't know about the thinner leather difference. Very interesting. The arm length would be a great comparison for you Chri360936.

Yeah. I have an image above showing the sleeve length matching the v2 length. So I'm still guessing a v2.

The measaurents all seem to match my Menlo so assuming I'm correct in thinking mines a v2 (spoke to the "Menlo oracle" aka Mr Brosnan at length before pulling the trigger!) from approx December 2012 then this must be too. And in a hard to find size small.
Somebody should snap this up and treat themselves this Christmas!

I couldn't agree more. If that was an XS, I would grab it and I already own a V3!the V2 is practically identical to the V1 and has a very SA distressed look.

I didn't remember what I paid for this jacket when I set the price, but I am a man of my word. Item still for sale for $750.00 plus shipping (originally $900.00)

It is listed on E-Bay but for more money, so AJB'ers are getting a discount. My bad memory is your gain!
