Let's hope this is just a short trip to get M's blessing a flirt with Moneypenny nd some Q gadgets before the finale elsewhere. (maybe he's here to ask to borrow the MI6 ninjas for the night assault)

So, the horsemen in the Mall, perhaps an establishing shot for Buckingham Palace, is perhaps between 1 hour 35 and 1 hour 50 minutes. If the film is only 2 hours long, or slightly less, then it could be setting up for a knighthood scene.
I'm not sure those horseguards were being shot for the film: the camera looks like a little digital one rather than the film cameras we've seen elsewhere. Maybe they do use digital for little inserts, or maybe it's just those behind the scenes guys shooting their nice footage.

Well I'm talking about the horseguards in the Mail's photos; and I would imagine it's easier to rent the real thing than it is to try and get (and dress) trained horses to do the same thing.

According to NZ herald, Grace Jones was meant to have a short cameo, in which she acted alongside Daniel Craig. But she pulled out shortly after arriving on set due to the role being smaller than she thought.
If this is true, it definitely fits into what I've heard before about Grace Jones's character.

I don't know, but my weak memory tells me it said "dressed up as Horse Guards".
Those are the real Horse Guards, and I bet they jumped at the chance to feature when asked, assuming they are in the film at all.
Unless it’s heavy CGI, setting up and training actors to act like real guardsmen, as well as rehearse, along with all those horses would be near impossible, and they would never pull it off.. Guardsmen are a league apart in ceremonial soldiering, and they would take to kindly to actors trying it out.

Yeah I mean, he’s definitely looking old. I watched CR the other night and even my wife commented about how much younger he looked then. It’s ok, he’s in good shape and it’s his last one. But let’s not pretend like he’s got the fountain of youth going.
Ok....we're back to this now. Craig does not look "old" he looks "older" because he is older. He's playing an older Bond who has left active duty for the beach in Jamaica. I don't think there is any any pretense that Bond is still in his 30's. I doubt very much that Craig will come off as "too old" in the film. His imposing, convincing physical condition has always compensated for his lack of "matinee idol" looks and of course make-up and lighting do wonders. My guess is, Craig will be the best "older" Bond.

Ooo I think that's a little harsh. Apart from looking a little beat up, I think Craig looks great—certainly not too old.
Of course he looks older than his earlier films but he looks fine. Nothing wrong with someone ageing in the job. For all those that want a younger looking Bond then they have to accept (especially in the current release time span of a film every 4 years) that a Bond actor should only do three films.
I have no issue with any of the Bonds ageing. I'll readily admit that SC in DAF (even though he was only 41 ) and RM in AVTAK do look past their best, BUT, they are STILL James Bond!
Let's be brutally honest, by the time all the actors get to their fourth/fifth film, they don't look as young, fresh and handsome as the they did in their previous adventures, but they look fine. The fourth film always seems to to be the one where the scales tip slightly, but I like the continuity of a Bond actor staying in the role over four, five, six films and seeing them age and develop.
Changing Bond actor every three films is not for me.
