I interviewed Peter Lamont - James Bond Set Designer

Hi Bond Fans,

My name is Mike and I run the Red Carpet Rookies filmmaking podcast. It was a project created to tell the stories of the most accomplished names behind the camera.

Our most recently released episode is with legendary James Bond Set Designer, Peter Lamont. I recorded the interview in October last year when Peter was 90 years old. The following month, as you may know, he sadly passed away, making our conversation his last recorded interview.

It’s quite a special piece of film history. I thought it may be of interest to you all.

In the episode we discuss his beginnings in the industry, how he first got his job on a James Bond feature, working with Ken Adam and how he

made fun of Peter, designing Fort Knox on Goldfinger, what Cubby Broccoli was like and why he was a great Producer, what Pierce Brosnan and Roger Moore were like on set, and the story of how he chose the Bahamas for the opening of Casino Royale with Martin Campbell.

You can find it here: https://www.redcarpetrookies.com/episodes/peter-lamont

Thank you,

Mike

p.s. I have also previously interview Daniel's personal makeup artist, Donald Mowat.
