Aston Martin V8 sighting

I was in a car on the M1 motorway this afternoon and passed a car transporter with lots of smart cars on it (Lamborghinis and the like). On the top at the back in full view was what I thought was an Aston Martin V8. It caught my eye partly because it looked great but also because it seemed to me to be the same colour as Bond’s. As I was the passenger I had enough time to take a good look (though not enough to have the presence of mind to take a photo). When I read the numberplate I metaphorically nearly fell off my chair - it was B549 WUU!

Is it possible that this car was from NTTD? Could it instead just be a car used say for commercial track ‘driving experiences’ or the like? Is it legal to display alternative numberplates for such uses? Or does the numberplate suggest it has some production provenance?

Does anybody know?

Whichever way it was fun to see this car, and it was certainly the highlight of a long journey!
