In a recent interview, Michael and Babs said they are keen on introducing a double-taking animal in the next Bond film. They acknowledged fans are keen to see another double-taking pigeon, but have said they don't want to repeat themselves and are looking for another animal, even though they have access to a descendant of one of Moonraker's fan-favourite stars.
In the same interview, they mentioned their long time eagerness to bring back a much beloved hick sheriff character from previous films, but with Cliffton James' sad passing in 2017, they are now working on creating backstory so that Sheriff Pepper Jr can become a reality in the upcoming Bond 26.
