I was also surprised to see the specs on the Cheetah which I'd imagined, from photos, as being smaller than it is. Why make a nearly full-size pistol in .380? Love the look of it, though.
I don't find Walthers or HKs to be as brutalist in design as Glocks. I quite like their looks in fact.
Sure, Glocks are dependable, but the really scream "henchman's plastic sidearm" to me.

Regarding his income, Bond famously increases his income via his prowess at gambling. I don't think it's ever implied that his wealth (from the cars to the clothes to the area of London he lives in to the golf and private members clubs he belongs to) are all paid for by the tax payer!
Car: If not an Aston (the current era are definitely not the best looking) then perhaps the Jaguar F-Type hits all the right (British-made) buttons?
Clothes: The Craig-era was a mix of some of the best suiting in the world and "classic" male casual styling (heavily borrowed from Steve McQueen). And whilst many people do dress-down almost permanently these days, walking into a room with an immaculately-cut suit definitely still gets a positive reaction. Bond films are a fantasy world, but it still needs to be believable and aspirational (just like the books).
A little late to the party but I'll throw my two cents worth in. Cinematic Bond should not drive an American muscle car as his personal ride...period. He can steal or commandeer one, but it cannot be "his" car. Also, I would vote a hard "no" on anything as large as a Bentley sedan or anything else of that ilk. IMO, a sports/GT car is the thing for Bond. I have no problem with Bond continuing to drive an Aston Martin. While today's Astons are a bit bloated, they do fit still fit the sports/GT mode, are classy / look great / not stodgy and provide power and performance. My personal requirement / non-negotiable is that Bond's Aston have a manual transmission / stick shift .
Personal weapon wise, while my knowledge of firearms is limited, from a practical and aesthetic standpoint, for his personal concealed carry pistol I like the aforementioned Beretta PX4 Compact to replace the old PPK. As far as what he carries in the glove box, whatever is considered to be the best, most potent overall military combat pistol in use today. Others out there who are much more knowledgeable about this subject please chime in.

But if Bond resorts to running around in jeans and a T-shirt, hopping into his red with blue racing stripe Camaro SS, and shooting with two blazing pistols turned sideways while falling backwards in slow motion and doves swoop past, we can stop searching for the next Bond and just hire Vin Diesel, Keanu Reeves, or Jason Statham.

Walther make the perfect modern up to date concealable carry sub compact pistol in the PPS M2. Around the same size as the PPK but in 9mm and a range of mag capacities. Very small, neat and more than a nod to the first P99’s looks. It moves away from the blocky look of most modern pistols with svelt lines and contours. Bond needs to move away from generic commonplace sidearms like the Glock and Sig. it was great that the Browning was brought in for NTTD, but he really should have used a Walther PPQ or P99 in his leg holster during the finale. Missed opportunity that.

It could be a "soft" way to continue from NTTD. 2-3 movies (directed by Nolan) set in the 50s/60s before they start making contemporary movies again. Just enough to help people "forget" Bond died.

I thought we'd have gotten more of that flavor with Craig -- which the excellent Casino Royale certainly suggested was the direction -- since physically he's more a throwback to actors of that era than actors today. But then that series turned Bond more and more into a sad, serious Maxwell Smart with each film that followed.
The problem is they will no doubt want to further modernize Bond for the Millennial/Gen Y audience, making him an anachronism in the time period. Or, they will get so caught up in the aesthetic trappings of what they think those 1960s Bonds were about, the movie itself stays shallow and insincere, more or less like the recent Star Trek prequels.
Perhaps a cautionary tale is The IPCRESS File miniseries they did. I'm a huge fan of the film (and find the novel interesting, too). It's an expert spy thriller, staying just this side of believable while never forgetting it's also supposed to entertain. The miniseries, on the other hand, felt hollow, using the 60s trapping in a stagey way while making Palmer more a petulant, condescending Millennial than the cynical trickster he is in the Caine film.
So, while I think it's inevitable the next Bond series while be a mash up of various things Bond no matter what time period is the setting, the closer they get to the Connery Bonds, the more nuance is needed to pull it off. I'm not sure this crew has that.
My controversial opinion/hope is that EON isn't completely honest with us and they have a plot /script of some kind and are negotiationg with directors and we can still have bond26 in 2025 or 2026.
