Alternate reality- all the Fleming books exist, but only ONE of the movies we know here has been made. Which would you choose? Not your favourite, but the one film that needed to be made to make you fairly happy as a fan of the novels.
For me, DN & FRWL are great novels, but GF was improved by the movie,so that's my pick.
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

Yikes, that's a horrible choice! Goldfinger is a great pick but as that's already taken I'll have to go for another- from the perspective of someone who enjoyed the books I think I'd go for Casino Royale as being a pretty satisfying experience, I think it's in that world and tonally a pretty similar experience, and there's pleasure to be had in seeing how they've adapted everything.
I can see why that person who drew that Amazon cartoon that was everywhere last week had so much trouble with that photo now: Sean's left foot is oddly hard to make out! 😂
Tricky! I'm going for an obvious choice here - OHMSS. It's very close to the novel, and as chrisisall says above the changes made are improvements.
Yeah, one thing I love is that they keep the opening events in the same order as they appear in the book, but remove the idea that part of it is a flashback happening earlier- and it makes no difference to the narrative! I think that's quite funny and also a sign of a canny adaptor.
This for me too…or possibly Casino Royale…maybe just the ‘06 version over the ‘67 🤭
I thought about that one, but if only one movie were to exist, I can't pick the one where Bond loses at the end....
