How often do you think about the Roman Empire?

There's a trend on TikTok where women ask their partners how often they think about the Roman Empire. The women find it shocking how much the Romans are on men's minds.
Personally I probably think about the Roman Empire once a week or more. How often do you think about the Roman Empire?

Sir Kingsley Amis evidently thought about it a lot!

Every other day at least :D

To be honest in terms of history I think much more (daily) about the interwar period and the regimes of Hitler, Mussolini et al and the events of WWII than I do about the Roman Empire. Though I love history and have a degree in it I tend to prefer more modern history where the connection to the past is closer. Those times feel more relevant than, say, Ancient Egypt or Ancient Rome where speculation and supposition tend to play a much bigger role due to the antiquity of those times. Sorry to be out of step with TikTok but I've never really been on trend and that's just the way I like it.
This applies to me too, but Ancient rome is still facinating.
Not much; what have the Romans ever done for us? I agree with @caractacus potts.
It's a sore point.
I was invited to a high-end sex party some years ago but learned it had a Roman Empire theme - togas, gladiator outfits, sandals etc - so had to decline. I wear glasses, you see, so I realised it would have been historically inauthentic.
I didn't spend three years at uni getting a History BA for nothing you know.

Tragic. Did you consider getting contact lenses?
I did. But they were unable to put an order through in time.
Later they did put on a Harry Potter themed party but some of its undertones made me uncomfortable.

So, do you think of historically incorrect Roman toga sex-parties often?

Short version: they were pervs.
That reminds me that I did try and get a discussion going on an aspect of this topic some years ago, albeit unsuccessfully:

That's a bit high brow. I don't think about ancient Rome much at all. Why would I? But I did just finish watching I Claudius on BBC4 and it was very good although it isn't historically accurate. Among a phenomenal cast, it was amazing to see Brian Blessed toning it down as Augustus.
Brian Blessed toning down? 🤯🤔
I know. He's always so quiet and reserved.

Oh, I do that all the time.
In fact, it's the reason I'm short-sighted.

My wife is Roman. I think about her a lot. If she has an empire, she hasn't told me about it yet. If she does, I will think about it a lot as well, and have someone just to peel grapes for me.
Hold. on what's this from Carry On Cleo? How come I've never noticed this before?!
'Oh, I say! Did somebody mention there was a Roman sex party going on?!'

You end up looking like this:
A man in one of those TikTok videos mentioned Alexander the Great as one of the best things about ancient Rome. That's like saying you like the present day US because of Joan of Arc 😂
