The Bond Archives are absolutely delighted to announce that our next exclusive private signing will be with ALEJANDRO BRACHO!
This will be his FIRST EVER autograph signing!
An exceptional Mexican actor, he is perhaps best known to James Bond as Franz Sanchez's right-hand henchman 'PERÉZ' in the 1989 production of "Licence To Kill". Alejandro can be seen throughout the film in a number of major sequences including the assassination attempt of Felix Leiter, the killing of Milton Krest and the thrilling tanker chase sequence in the film's climax.
We have a wide variety of shots from "Licence To Kill" available, as well as also offering collectors to send in their own items under the 'SEND IN' product page.
The signing will be open for orders from the 22nd of April, 2025, and will remain open until late May 2025.
So I’m new to this site and to be clear I’m NOT a James Bond fan HOWEVER I recently acquired a massive lot of signed Academy Award Programs from the 1970s-1980s and one of them was signed by Richard Maibaum and I was hoping someone on here could shed more light on his value and rarity.
@Greedo2001 Unfortunately this example is quite different to Richard's known writing samples, so I am afraid it is unlikely that this came from his hand.
Is it possible that he signed it differently because it was a public event vs private contract?
For background I got these pamphlets as well as dozens of letters from Hollywood stars and producers from the estate of John Ierardi’s brother. John was an MGM Records Employee who led efforts to restore dozens of MGM Movie Soundtracks in the 1970s.
I don’t know why that image double posted. But the reason I posted it is because of the Robert Shaw and because Chris Sarandon personalized it to John.
A sad example of very poor ethics from a supposedly reputable dealer:
These three autographs were submitted to us by a customer of ours and promptly failed our authentication process. They originated from a known German counterfeiter and were resold by a British UACC (and previously AFTAL) registered dealer.
For further clarification and to qualify for the return of these items, our customer was required to get a second authentication failure and subsequently submitted these items to SWAU, who promptly failed them too.
While the Donald Pleasence and Timothy Dalton are low grade counterfeits, the Andress is harder to distinguish, due to the quality of the forger who has signed thousands of these over the years.
The items were returned to the UACC dealer, who after being notified of these being forgeries, decided to quietly sell them in February at Chaucer Auctions for a total of £458. An all too common lack of ethics by dealers who are desperate to sell, rather than minimising counterfeits on the market.
UACC have been notified, as have Chaucer's Auctions.
The dealer in question is Richard Bristow who represents Rbees Autographs. Since being confronted with his selling of Bondcollectibles autographs around 2015, he has now added to all his EBay James Bond listings "Not a fake from Germany". Sadly, even now some of his Bond items originate from Germany, although the percentage is significantly less than what it was a decade ago.
One of many forgeries sold by former AFTAL dealer Nick Straw (sometimes calling himself Nick Hufton-Straw), known on EBay as Lights-Camera-ActionUK, formerly known on EBay as Niwdlab. He also has several other EBay accounts used for buying and selling.
This seller is known for his daily listings of forgeries on album pages, usually dedicated to Mike, Michael, Barry or David. The forgeries are mixed in with some low value genuine items and have fooled many collectors and authenticators over the years. Concrete evidence has been gathered over the past two years by several investigators which demonstrate beyond any reasonable doubt that Nick Straw has been knowingly and wilfully selling high quality counterfeits for over a decade, with many top autograph experts providing evidence in an ongoing investigation. Known autograph scandals involving Mr. Straw include major Hollywood counterfeits of Clint Eastwood, Whitney Houston, Ernest Thesiger, Alfred Hitchcock, Bette Davis, Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Dors, John Huston, John Cazale, Jayne Mansfield, Michael Caine, Paul McCartney and hundreds of others.
Reginald Beckwith is a particularly scarce James Bond name from "Thunderball" as he died in 1965 and this example is one of many counterfeits of Beckwith which Nick Straw has sold over the years. This particular listing which is currently live on EBay shows clear signs of slow and deliberate writing by the forger. The signature also has incorrect letter formations and traits not seen in genuine examples of Reginald Beckwith.
Other regular forgeries listed by this seller are Peter Sellers, Ingrid Pitt, Milo Sperber, Erik Chitty, Robert Shaw, Sean Connery (usually offered for sale privately outside of EBay) and many other valuable James Bond and Carry On related names like Sid James, Hattie Jacques, Barbara Windsor etc... This seller especially targets rare and obscure names which very few people have ever seen or had access to. One of the ways we are certain of our findings is that our Bond related signature Archive is the largest in the world and our professional authentications go deeper than many third party authenticators in the market today. Nick's items have also been failed by numerous other leading authenticators.
If any collectors are concerned about items they have purchased from this dealer over the years, please feel free to contact us.

Authenticated by Grad
Unfortunately this Sean Connery is not authentic.
It came up for sale recently on a Facebook page for $1000 and is apparently certified by Beckett.
The formation of 'Best Wishes' and the slant of the 'S' and the 'C' are the biggest giveaways in this case.
:(
Bought this Tagawa last time he was in UK , orig spanish lobbycard

Would like to eventually pick up an authentic Brosnan signed item. Does anyone have any recommendations of where to reliably look?
