That's very interesting. Not much was left out, as I understand it, so that would mean Haggis's rewrite--and subsequent work, he was brought back to do a second rewrite, as I understand it--amounted to next to nothing. Hard to believe they'd ask him back if that were truly the case, but I don't have a friend who's in the know, so what do I know?
I can believe P&W came up with the basic structure, which was brilliant IMHO, but I'd guess Haggis helped with the transitions, which were brilliant IMHO ( ) and cleaned up a lot of the dialogue. Team effort. Sometimes, it's not just the idea, but how it's presented. I kinda think Haggis had a lot to do with the latter...
I'm a wee bit slow in hearing this news, but it's good nonetheless. I thought he did an admirable job on CR.
