I did not respond well to the change. And it wasn't merely because he wasn't Connery (after all, I didn't mind Lazenby in the role), or because I was some blindly obsessive Connery fan (although I am a big fan, no doubt). It's simply because I did not think Moore was a good Bond. His light-hearted, non-threatening manner just didn't fit the concept of Bond that I had come to enjoy. And although I remained a huge fan of the Bond films and I made it a point of seeing all of Moore's films when they were released in the hopes that he would grow on me, he never did. I recognize that the general public, and maybe even the majority of die-hard Bond fans, were pleased when Roger Moore took over the role, I didn't get as excited about Bond movies anymore until Dalton took over.

Could not have put it better myself {[] Well done BL {[]

Maybe it is because we are of a similar age ;)

LALD is the 4th highest grossing bond film (adjusted for inflation). So sir Rog seems to have had a positive response in his first outing.
