TWINE is massively under appreciated.

First post here! Love this series, both Fleming's original books and the films.

TWINE is an interesting entry for me. I love maybe more than half of this film. I can't quite put my finger on the trigger for why this film isn't one I'd go out of my way to watch again. I think it's a mobie that is close to Fleming's spirit of the original books, qnd that's what really draws me to it. Brosnan here is pitch-perfect Bond. But there are many small elements that clash with that feeling, it creates a dissonant note. I think Bond films work best when they are more molded by the "thriller" genre rather than the "superhero" genre, and TWINE flirts that line in not a good way.

I feel like I'm bashing the film in a thread celebrating it, but like I said, I'm 65% in love with this movie. The villains and their plot are pretty spot on.

    Welcome to AJB theavengerbutton.

65% in love sounds like a fair reflection of TWINE’s strengths and flaws. I went through the series bout a year ago giving each film a score out of 100, ranging from full marks for FRWL to 20 for NSNA. My score for TWINE ended up being 60.
