Ok here are my top ten moments (boy did I have fun compiling this as I was drifting off to sleep last night): )
1. Dr No: Honey's exquisite first appearance rising from the waves.
2. Goldfinger: Bond arising from the water in the PTS, through to peeling off his wetsuit to reveal an impeccable dinner jacket beneath it
3. Thunderball: "Aren't you in the wrong room, Mr Bond?" And Connery replies, "Not from where I'm standing"
4. OHMSS: the magnificent PTS fight on the beach
5. DAF: Bond firing the piton gun and dangling in space above the Whyte House
6. TSWLM: The Lotus speeding off the pier and into the water
7. Octopussy: the Acrostar jet streaming through the aircraft hangar
8. TND: Bond scything the pilot's legs from under him and stealing the jet, in the PTS
9. Casino Royale: that free-running chase through the building site
10. Skyfall: rigging the Lodge and the ensuing firefight with Silva's men.

My favorite moment in the series is Roger Moore in a clown suit shouting "THERE'S A BOMB IN THERE!!!".
That was not an easy scene to sell as a serious moment, and I give Moore credit for pulling it off as well as he did. -{
Absolutely. It's easy to dismiss Moore's talents (heck, he does it himself and always has) but I'd say this scene is one of his best moments- not just as Bond, but in his career. It's customary to cite the part in FYEO where he kicks Locque's car off the cliff as his most serious Bond moment, perhaps because he argued against it initially, but the whole clown sequence is as BL says hard to bring off and Moore succeeds superbly.
I think it's because Moore goes with the grain when it comes to absurd but still serious moments whereas some of the other actors have gone against the grain when the more absurd moments have came around.
