Yes, I've seen it. I suspect Norway decided to buy British frigates and not French, and as an extension of this a closer naval alliance, because many Frenchmen are bad at speaking English and the Norwegians are even worse French speakers. π

Today marks my 23rd anniversary as a member of AJB. It has been a great experience here. The members and great debates and banter are what keeping me coming back year after year. I want to thank everyone involved who helps make AJB such a charming and enjoyable place to spend time online.

Thanks chaps for the kind words. And thanks @Napoleon Plural. I think. π
In my defence I was away for a long time too between 2005 and 2010 and between 2010 and 2012. I've never regretted returning to AJB and have always tried to post more regularly since then. There are a lot worse places to be a part of.

I was going to say 1998 but I wasn't sure if I'd remembered correctly. I remember starting a thread asking about the origins of AJB. I'll have to go back and look at it again. This forum-based version of the site seems to date back to around March 2002, the earliest forum membership dates recorded here. I believe that the site was somewhat different in its earlier years and didn't have a forum section to start off with.
Congratulations @Silhouette Man πΈπΈπΈ 23 years wow you've been a member far longer than either Gardner or even Fleming were writing the books.... Real dedication

Thanks @chrisno1. It has been a long time but it's also went in pretty fast. It's amazing how these sorts of literary creations and their screen adaptations can spawn lifelong fandom.

Ross Kemp is definitely not bragging here. He's just not that kind of guy.

I'd keep quiet frankly about having been on this forum for so long! 23 years! What have you been doing with your time.
Me, I'm a relative newbie - I joined in the run-up to the release of Die Another Day, now, when was that?

23 years…wow! When did AJB start?
I think around the late 1990s if I recall correctly.
1998, I think.
2028 for the 30th anniversary then, we may get the new Bond movie in 2028, that would be a good double celebration πΈ

Here is a thread I found on the history of AJB:
