No, this is not a post that declares my love for her but I actually have a question. Jenny Flex is obviously supposed to be a double entendre (as witnessed by Roger Moore's "Of Course you Are") but I don't get the double part? What is the other meaning of that name I'm just not picking up on? Can anyone shed some light on this?

It sounds close to the word genuflect, though I fail to see any humor there. Curious though--you had listed this as one of the funniest moments in the movie and now you re asking what the meaning is???

Oooh, now you've found the skeletons in my closet! Agh! Anyway, I believe it's funny because of the reaction and how she struts down the stairs and how no one seems to react to the alleged "double entendre" but I don't get the humor.

And yes, it does sound like genuflect but last I checked I didn't see her randomly praying in any scenes of the movie! I don't think she ever genuflected either!

Jenny flex in terms of a sexual aspect but there isnt anything else.

Its like other names in the JB series, Pussy Galore, Onnatop, Holly Goodhead etc all mean one thing.

I was always under the impression that it was a playful twist on the word 'genuflects"...in a sense, meaning that she would do whatever a man would want her to do. Big letdown for me in AVTAK was that Bond seemed more interested in the manly Mayday than the lovely Alison Doody.

She's rumored to, that's all I know sadly. There's nothing official to say she's being considered but the rumor had to start from somewhere.

And the roles of Jenny Flex and Elsa, both cold-hearted and evil![\i] roles couldn't harm her in the quest for Narcissa. She also looks exactly like what I'd picture Narcissa, a regal, statuesque blonde with a sexy accent.

I hope she gets it.

Interesting. . .I'd actually heard that Naomi Watts would be playing Narcissa, which strikes me as a little improbable (the HP films tend to cast distinguished character actors, not major movie stars; plus, Naomi is Australian, and not a Brit). That said, I guess Alison would be a good choice, though I'm sure the role will be very small.

Not necessarily, taity.

Still, people should agree, her features are very similar to a Narcissa-type character and her past roles can prove it! She's also unknown enough that it can work.

I saw a photo of her not too long ago (present day) - she certainly has held up VERY well

Watts was born in England, so technically the English could claim her as one of their own. I reckon they will go for a more character type though. I haven't seen Alison Doody in a film since Last Crusade. Has she been in anything?

She (ironically) played another Nazi in a short film, appeared in the Hallmark Channel's "King Solomon's Mines" as Elizabeth Something-or-other, doing very well in that, she was almost in LOTR but pulled out due to how much time would be spent away from her family. She was also in a number of other things I haven't seen like Taffin, where she had a leading role with a future James Bond, Pierce Brosnan.

I still think she should be Narcissa, no way around it! And at some point I'm going to see Major League II, which she also starred in.

I'm afraid I've got some news that JFF will likely find devastating. Narcissa Malfoy has been cast, and the role didn't go to Alison Doody. Instead, the part will be played by Helen McCrory, who played Cherie Blair in The Queen. Here's more:

She doesn't even LOOK like a Narcissa. She doesn't have a regal, elegant, icy look or Alison's demeanor. I haven't seen her in anything else, so I'll have to evaluate her past acting performances but it's a crying shame. Alison would've been so perfect for the part! Right after her birthday that this AWFUL news has to be announced. It's a sad world we live in.

Alison Doody's career is best defined as 15 minutes of fame. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was the only real success she has had, but it was only that 15 minutes; Doody was instantly forgotten and disappeared for a decade after 1994. Doody has resurfaced on television in the past couple of years, but she is about as important today as the Macarena. And she wasn't even very good in Last Crusade.
