Behind closed doors, there are a good few more abbreviations and codes but there's a reason for that ;)

    I'd add:

AJBers - the colleactive term for members of this fine community

Copyright - the reason why AJB has never allowed MGM/UA/Sony images of the Bond films to be included on the site

Craig-bashers - the antonym of the Craig optimist

Gun barrel - the classic, pre-pretitle 007 introductory sequence

Moonie - term of endearment for AJB's other rottweiler moderator, Moonraker 5

NSNA - the unofficial Bond film Never Say Never Again that is closest to being thought of as a "proper" Bond film

Topic closed - the familiar mod-squad refrain

Indeed. And if we're going to include nicknames on the list, then certainly Mo belongs on it!

:)) I had forgotten all about that. :D BTW, perhaps we should get HH to turn it into the Unholy Quartet. :v :D

For the uninitiated, we should define "double-taking pidgeon"; a moment in a Bond film (in this case originating in Moonraker) which stoops lower than most in search of a cheap laugh, when the director/writer has run out of ideas. Much the same as "jumping the shark" (look it up).

References to "invisible car" and "cgi surfing" recall the most unconvincing elements from Die Another Day, and now stand for anything ludicrous in a Bond movie.

    Fun thread by the way.

How about one that I came up with post-CR; the line which refers to 'Bond, James Bond,' that also being the final and extremely stunning line of CR. :D

Beloved Character- Ol' Q (Desmond) certainly qualified, perhaps DJD's M does now. In any case, a character whose appearance brings comfort and familiarity.

Here in Britain the media often extend the title National Treasure to a person known by all and loved by most- Paul McCartney, Michael Parkinson, The Queen, Russell Brand... well, maybe not him, but you get the idea. Is it the same in the States? (Not talking about Nicolas Cage movies here)

Okay, thanks Loeffs! Though I'd forgotten about that!

    How about:

Jason Bourne A character widely regarded as Bond's true nemesis in Quantum Of Solace (and namechecked more than any other character, including possibly Bond himself), as he said to be the main influence behind the epilectic editing style that evokes incandescent rage in some AJBers.
"This is where we leave you Mr Bond."

wait...does that mean laugh out loud or...? :))

May I also suggest the ever changing, but always talked about, Bond numbers (e.g. a few years ago it was Bond 21, then Bond 22 and now we are already talking about Bond 23). I don't know how to fit it in the glossary, but until titles are tossed out from Eon we are talking numbers like crazy.

Another one could be "possible title" or "chapter titles" or "Ian Fleming titles"....as a joke, "Property of a Lady" the one title everyone is not sure about but kind of likes :D

What happened here? I feel like this topic died out...shame. Maybe getting it back on 'Today's Post' will help.

I thought of another one for the glossary - "Bondology" in reference to the not so scientific study and discussion of all things Bond.

And, I didn't check but is CBN (short for CommanderBond.net) in the glossary? ?:)
