One of my favourite facts about Gert is that he was a member of the Nazi Party, but left before the war. After Goldfinger was made, it was banned in Israel for a while, until a Jewish family came forward and said that Gert had rescued them.

Yes, that's right. Gert Frobe was clearly a good guy on the right side of history. And he did it knowing that it would mean certain death under the Nazi dictatorship if it was found out that he was giving sanctuary to Jews. Quite a man and iconic as Goldfinger.
