Ben Whishaw as "Q"? I always thought "Q" was older than James Bond. Desmond Llewelyn was 48 at the time of filming From Russia With Love (1963). Sean Connery was 32 at the time of filming. Ben Whishaw will be 31 while filiming Bond 23.
If Ben Whishaw is to be "Q", then I hope they use the actor for many Bond movies, not just for one appearance.

Let's not take this thread down a racial route. It's 2011, personally I'd like to think of skin colour as an incidental, but alas I know there are people out there who don't. That aside, we're not going to have a proxy debate about mixed-race relationships.
Need a good fight where Bond is outmatched or evenly matched. Loved both Casino Royale and QoS, but Bond has been just a little too unstoppable (the torture scene doesn't count; it wasn't a fight). The fight scenes have been too short and Bond has won a little too easily. We need a real good fight, a la 007 vs. Red Grant or Alec Trevelyan, which were two of my favorites in the series.

He comes across as inteligent, good at delivering a witty and stinging line and he is edgy in an interesting way. He should be the type who delivers shoes with daggers and lockpicks in the heel, suppressors for sniper rifles and mobile phones that can sweep rooms for listening deviecs. Belivable, yet interesting stuff.

How about Swedish actor Michael Persbrandt? He is roughly 6` 3`` and plays arrogant bastards very well. Bond films should hire people who are leading actors in their home country to play supporting roles. That way you get new faces that can hold the screen.

I would say EON Productions is doing a good job in just letting the rumors flying around. It's like "the telephone game", the more people that talk about it, the more people add to it and it gets bigger. Naomi Harris hopes she auditioned for the role of "Miss Moneypenny", but she doesn't know what role she auditioned for because they had her read from the Quantum of Solace script. When Naomi Harris started bragging, the producers said that she had not been confirmed for any role yet.
I do not believe EON Productions has said anything about bringing back "Q" in this movie.
Perhaps the upcoming press conference will be full of surprises and that is why the producers are being tight-lipped right now. They don't want anyone to steal their thunder.

I'm not familiar with Ben Whishaw's work, but I would like "Q" to return only if they use the same actor for a many years. This James Bond 2012 movie sounds great so far with an all-star cast.
Ben Whisaw has allready been in two of DC`s films: "Enduring Love" and "Layer Cake". He has worked on the stage, in TV and radio and in other films. But he is probably best known for playing the lead in the film "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer". Whishaw is still just 30 years old, so if he is cast as Q he could play him for very many years.
This may be minor, but I wouldn't mind hearing John Barry's "007" theme again. . .last heard in Octopussy, reworked as "The Chase Bond Theme."

Here are some things I´d like to see in the next Bond movie(s).
I´d like to see the Felix/007 friendship develop as it did in the novels. So more screen time for Jeffrey Wright, I think he and Craig could be a great `team`. It would be nice to have them in the same car talking about the merits of British vs. American cars like they did in Fleming´s DAF.
A short PTS, that has nothing to do with the plot of the rest of the movie, finished with a great stunt.
In another thread, (now closed) Thunderpussy said he thought Adrian Lester would make a good Bond, I agree, but having Craig in the role and the things discussed in the thread mentioned above and others, I’d like to see him as another 00 in Bond 23 and maybe beyond.
I don't want Craig to do a one-liner really, but I'd like more satirical type humour, of a topical bent. Not like NSNA exactly, more like GF, which was steeped in post-Profumo affair sardonic touches. They missed the chance of it in the last few films, could have sent up the whole spin stuff with politicians, have Bond being sarcastic about it. It's an easy way of getting the audience onside.
