    The Kings just fall short in overall size MG, but your efforts were much appreciated.

    Took the BR of Casino Royale with me to work last night and watched the Defib bit on the monster plasma, I dont think
    there is large writing on the Bloc Pens, pretty sure they have barcodes. Not positive but the smaller writing on the red one
    is JB980 - 111 - 289 and a partial on the blue one, MGN - SES - ?

    Had to try and put something together from the incorrect trainers if the overall project was to continue so heres what ive come up with so far, it requires sectioning the tube and adding an appropriate section of plastic from another source, I used the guts from a handwash trigger pump. Still improving things so if the correct trainers cant be found, will post with more detail later.

    Still no parcel here, will let you guys know when it arrives.

    As for your effort webby, I'd say that's a pretty good job. I could hardly tell what you'd modified.

    What you use for the blue section, tinted acetate sheet?

    Cheers MG -{

    I think thats the correct name but I only know it as lighting gel. For reference, the colour number is 118.
  • minigeffminigeff EnglandPosts: 7,884MI6 Agent
    Well I got mine today, turns out they are indeed......

    The wrong type 8-)

    Looks like I've got the same kind as Webby, so I'll either turn my own new head or use these for size reference and scratch build the lot.

    Sorry guys, I can only assume the correct type of epipen is the old old version.

    Sorry bout that,

    MG

    Thats too bad MG, I think at the end of the day, the three of us will have some very accurate Combi pen replicas and that is most righteous. Perhaps you can offer the four you dont need for sale after conversion to recoup some funds. Ive seen some officially licensed items from various franchises over the years less accurate released. Please let me know if you need the correct colour gels, I have ample, same for GM. Now, back to the drawing board.

    Love the ingenuity of using a pelican pump and some odd parts genius. I have wanted to make the defib for ages see a post i did a year or so back. Don't know if you guys of thought of this but using a red/blue hansoap or gel (brylcreem) will look spot on i think and better than just tinting the plastic. Specially as it'll have the wee bubbles in the pen to from the gel.

    Just to show you guys what i mean quick setup for ya one is handsoap, the other darker blue one is radox muscle soak.

    Thanks very much lads. -{

    I like the idea of the handsoap but you would have to have it in a small leak proof section in the middle of the trainer.Lots of work. Im pretty sure they only went with the lighting gel in the film but its hard when you only have one average screen image to work off. Its a shame they didnt realease the home version of Casino Royale with an extras disc choc full o nice close up prop stills.

    Also remember guys that any of the logical drugs that would be contained in the pens would be colourless, therefore the tubes would be coloured externally only for ease of identification. I say stick with the acetates.

    Done as much as I can to start on the DeFib kit. If its not possible to get the remaining parts, will be very happy to add just the Combi Pens to the collection.

    Keep me posted with your progress, I'd enjoy building a set of the defibrillator and epi-pens into the back seat storage of my "Tomorrow Never Dies" car for shows, I always enjoyed that gadget and film quite a bit.

    I've got quite a bit on my plate for the next few months but if 3D modeling is required to get a good sculpt of the defibrillator I'm willing to give it a go, I'm about to do a bunch of 3D printing in the next couple of weeks to make molding masters of some props I originally built for the "Inspector Spacetime" webseries based on the meta-gag from NBC's "Community".

    Cheers d_O -{

    A couple of guys have started working on a version of the Defib unit over at therpf, what a coincidence :) ,one the traditional way and another going down the 3D path....

    http://www.therpf.com/f9/casino-royale-defibrillator-174696/

    So ive started to think of the P99 section of the kit. A couple of questions, Does anyone recognise what looks like to be military wallets alongside the P99 and silencer? The DeFib and the P99 look like they are sitting on a special vac formed base, I know nothing about the subject so if anyone can let me know if its possible to recreate these bases without spending a fortune? -{

    Could they be camo wraps for the silencer? Really no idea

    No progress on my end... I've been busy with a Star Trek bridge, some Doctor Who widgets, and a couple of remaining pieces on the Goldfinger Aston are ahead in line of taking on this prop - by the time I get around to it one will already be finished!

    Spot on TmsRay2954 -{ , didnt even know they existed till I googled after your tip, cant find the right camo design yet but have found the green one.

    Makes sense Brian.

    Opps, double post.
  • Mr WebberMr Webber AustraliaPosts: 114MI6 Agent
    Silencer covers arent cheap I found out so will adapt $5 camo and olive green tshirts to replicate that look.

    Looks like I can get a hold of a couple of the correct epipens, not the trainer but a couple of deactivated real ones,
    not sad it turned out that way as converting the incorrect ones was a blast. Looking like my dream of having a practicle version of the Aston Martin sliding shelves will come together. :)

    Started on the last part of the puzzle, the wrist thingy. Heres what ive come up with for a basic design. Any thoughts?
