it looks like a little Mini Soldering Iron, a Black Version of the
type of little Kit ones you Get From MAPLIN electronics... But
instead of the Soldering Iron attachment being screwed in,
its possibly an air needle - from the type of air pump's used
to inflate footballs.... just throwing it out there.... looks very
similar, look more for ones that were available around 2005
bearing in mind CASINO ROYALE was made 8 Years Ago :#
    how time flys :o

I know this image ain't accurate in Model & Type BUT its just a
quick example of how that type of thing came to mind looking
at the Prop Medical Kit and Parts from the film

    battery-iron.gif

Hope this info / observation ... leads you to a find or ID of the
    Props Part.

Best of Luck..... your build is looking very cool indeed. Make a
nice wood mold of the trays. get them Vacuum, Formed in black
thermo Plastic sheet, thats what they look to be.... Walther P99
    & Silencer.....

( if its any help, I still have a good working set up
with some of my old departments from University, all those years
ago, the guys in there are always looking for new projects and
little one off jobs, I have had them make the occasional, now and
again for me, with great results.... Putting to good use Machinery
and molding machines etc.... Once you get to this stage, I would
be happy to take a wooden mold into them for you and have them
make it...... thats the only way I can think of doing it professionally
and to a high standard. The wood Mold need Holes drilled through
the entire shape for the suction and heating of teh plastic sheet.
the shapes on these trays should'nt be any sort of problem, More
intricate shapes can cause a real headache )

A plastics factory, to make a one off mold to make a one off item, I
am not sure how much it would be, not on the affordable Side, I
would be guessing... but you may find the odd little backstreet
workshop that do great work at low prices, I have found a few
sheet metal work's in little industrial estates that are always happy
to help and make stuff for you, for next to nothing in their free time,
but these places are usually found via Friends of Freinds & Word of
    Mouth etc

Hope this helps, once you reach this stage...

once again - GREAT PROJECT and Built so Far :007)

Thanks very much sgg, thats a very generous offer indeed and I will be delighted to take you up on it -{ -{ -{ -{ -{ -{ -{ -{ ive been down that path as well as electric carving knive handles and electronic corkscrews but nothing has come close to the side design. It makes sense that if they custom made the DeFib unit, the wrist thingy would follow. Its always a roll of the dice I guess, get something made you think is close as possible, then some pics turn up and you got it all wrong :))

    Hi mr webber
is the button by his right hand index finger?
  • Mr WebberMr Webber AustraliaPosts: 114MI6 Agent
    I think I got that one covered bpf, the only reason I put that button on the bottom because I cant see the silver finger slider in that pic and the lines on the side match up., your input is much appreciated though, if Im going to get it right, I need more eyes on it than mine. -{

So, I haven't progressed at all with this project and although I left therpf over a year ago, left not banned, always check in to see interesting things. Think ive found one!
Today an interesting picture of all the molds Weno made for HIS :)) defib project appeared there. This has really pissed me off as I called him out not long after I started MY Defib project with one hell of a spray and he buckled and admitted he got the idea from me and then promised to send me a completed unit for a very special price once they were done.Of course all I got were crickets and tumbleweeds on that front and thought he hadn't gotten far with it. 8-) Until today. Molds mean finished parts to my feeble mind and did some research and found his thread at JBLS.....

    http://www.jamesbondlifestyle.com/forum/showthread.php?1014-My-Casino-Royal-Defibrillator

Two posts that were particularly interesting to me.....

"well i have been getting pre orders and everyone seems 750 is a good price.. im thinking 600 - 700 tho.. as far as deposits i been getting 300 .. and everyone is ok with 750 but i rather go less and sell more and put out a great prop then make money.."

Looks like he has certainly progressed.

".. someone sent me some decal images that look pretty good i may use them for the time being"

    Yeah, that would be ME.

When the times right, I`m gunna pay a visit to the thread and set the record straight once and for all. It would have been much easier to honour the agreement. For him.

Has anyone purchased or put a deposit on one of these?

Just read that thread. Doesn't strike me as a particularly nice sort. He says he wants to get his hands on one of the replica Golden Guns so that he can make his own version of it (presumably to sell considering all of the other props he's selling and that he says he has started his own prop company complete with mills, lathes, 3D printers and its own website). He then says he bought a Goldeneye on eBay that was missing a few pieces but gets all huffy when FE refuse to sell him the missing bits and pieces. Could it be that they fear he's going to do with the Goldeneye exactly what he's already admitted wanting to do with the GG? Can't blame FE at all.

I can't access his web page, but from what he has said on Bond Lifestyle it looks as if he makes quite a bit of stuff, and it has turned in to a business.

From what I know of him, he ripped our own Ed off and had some argument with Singe from what I remember, didn't he at one point try and come here to sell his stuff, or was that a dream :))

Personally guys I'd like to add my 2 cents.

From my own personal experience, Santino Weno the fooking third or whatever he calls himself these days is a complete prick. That's right weeny, if ya reading this, you're a prick of the highest order. Why?

You screwed ed over, you slated my work to gain yourself sales even when the prop in question wasn't a run of mine (yours was crap compared if I don't mind saying n all). I got banned from the rpf for defending myself whereas you got away with your slating. All I ever hear when your weeny name crops up is you ripping off people's ideas, stealing techniques, slating others high quality work and in general being a complete 'taker' and giving little if not anything back to the people you con into helping you.

    He's a fookin coont. Ende.

    Okay, I'll bite :#

BTW, the guy who made the screen trays pretty much fabricated them out of corrugated card similar to the type yer good missus would have in her Milk Tray box :D .

Everything surrounding this guy is foggy. The person who popped up on therpf claiming to have his molds and posted a picture of them that came from weno`s JBLS thread hasn't bothered to answer Ed`s question on how he came by them. Foggy.
  • ttdriverttdriver Posts: 202MI6 Agent
Foggy indeed! THe person claiming to have the molds has only two posts on RPF so I wonder if weno has resurfaced there. I unfortunately purchased a goldeneye door keypad from him and have yet to see it or get anything other than an offer to replace it with the "working" wrist gun.
  • thespyboys11thespyboys11 Lindenwold,NJPosts: 1,845MI6 Agent
I think it's obvious that the RPF guy offering the molds is either Weno (Santino) or someone posting for him....hence, no reply.

It's a shame because Santino is talented at making replicas and could have offered some great items/ He fooled me into thinking he was a genuine and sincere Bond fan and I stupidly trusted him enough to provide him with information, reference pics and measurements.

    Ed, it's not a case of stupidly trusting someone, you're a great guy (& he clearly isn't?) -{

It is that wener Santino, I checked him out last week :o :D

I`ve exchanged a couple of emails with him over the past year mainly to get an update on the Defib but only got back talk of plans for the side grebblies on the Moonraker Timing light gun and the wrist injector from the Defib kit and hard sells of his wrist dart gun. Needless to say, I gave up. He`s a fool for deliberately isolating himself in the worst possible way from the very community that could have brought out his best.
Im just wondering at this point if he is selling the molds, how many units did he end up making/selling?

Never did manage to find the old style with the two tone tip, only the all black ones, but as Jeff says, even these are getting rare now.
