That new yachtmaster look very very good! Maybe because black rubber bands and black bezels are my weakness, it even looks kinda like my Festina O.o (same colour combination)

Wasnt too keen on the new YM when I saw it on Rolex site however it looks much nicer on that real pic. Is it true the Rolex rubber strap is actually made by Rubber B for them?

Really like the blue Pelagos - the blue makes the dial really different, especially the marker sections. Is there a on the wrist pic yet? Has it jumped in price due to in house movement?

I don't think that RubberB has anything to do with it.

The Oysterflex (unfortunately) leaves open some visible gaps plus Rolex describes it to be a metal (titanium) blade which is covered with an elastomer. I guess that this covering is replaceable.

As for the Pelagos, I'd still go for the black variant - the price for the manufacture movement seems to be US$ 275,-- higher (US$ 4.125 vs. US$ 4.400,--)

'Uniquely, the new Oysterflex bracelet offers the structure of a metal bracelet with the waterproofness of a rubber strap. It consists of a black "high-performance elastomer," which surrounds a series of flexible metal blades that add structure and improved ergonomics. The bracelet also features "a patented longitudinal cushion system," which allows it (and the watch itself) to rest more securely on the wrist. Finally, the bracelet is finished with an 18k Everose-gold "Oysterlock" clasp.'

I think Rubber B Facebook page mentioned about the strap hence the rumours could be involved, the above from the Hoodinkee seems this is prob unlikely I guess

    Edit:

Rubber B's Facebook page says "Celebrating with Rolex Basel 2015", with the new Yacht Master underneath hence the rumour

Not bad increase I guess!! Still have not seen a proper shot of the blue apart from Tudor marketing images! Will have a search!

Hmm looks like the same blue as the WG Sub which I don't really like. On the marketing / underwater pics it looked darker blue which I prefer

    What are the expert's thoughts:

To me that looks like an Omega PO which is interesting because I saw a watch on Omega's Facebook page that they released at Baseworld and it looked just like a Date Just. 8-)

The Yachtmaster has been around for much longer before the PO was introduced :D

Omega even went as far as ripping off the design of the 3-dimensional numbers from the Yachtmaster bezel:

Clearly to be in such a peak of physical fitness Higgins requires personal trainers? I believe driving over said trainers would break a number of European laws? 8-)

Don't get me wrong. He may have a point with the Gruen - I really don't know and I really don't care as it's an irrelevent piece of trivia - I am even too lazy and uninterested to check further.

There may be only 2 people who would be sad enough to care: Deaton and Asp9mm :D

In the forum of late there has been mention of it due to watch / dress etiquette (I think because 007 wearing the SM300 on a nato with a Tuxedo during comic relief sketch) hence Matt S (I think) has mentioned the Gruen now and then.

Just a watch I've never really seen much about etc I guess as rarely visible or adequately visible in Dr No etc {[]

Yes, and don't forget for many years he was adamant that it was a Rolex Precision and that it was "the" Rolex that Cubby Broccoli gave to the Dr. No production for Connery to wear. Not! I believe this supposition still exists in a thread at CBn and the Rolex Forums.

Holden, what do you think: Are the new Tudor and Rolex movement based on the same platform?

Well, they have similar power reserves, but other than that?..........I'm sure both parties will say 'no'.
