Had my first experience with Rolex over the weekend when I bought my wife her birthday present. Managed to get a small discount off the asking which I didn't think they would do. Had a look at an Explorer in there too and am really considering it as my next purchase instead of the AT.

Edit: tried to add an image from my phone. Is says uploaded but doesn't show. Any ideas?

Congrats -{ she's a lucky lady, I love my aqua terra's particularly the bond limited ed one, I had a submariner many years ago, but for some reason always went back to my omegas? I'm you'd be equally happy with the Explorer.

Was it the new 2016 Explorer?
The new model announced at Basel 2016 has lumed 3, 6, 9.
The outgoing model has white gold 3, 6, 9.
Either is a great choice in my opinion.

Ahh so it's not just me being an idiot then! In any case, it is a date just, fluted bezel, oyster bracelet with a rhodium face. Pretty nice for a woman I guess.

It was the old version. The guy was telling me they are not many new ones around now because they have been phasing them out ready for the new version. Not sure how true that it is but I am tempted all the same. Must resist.

Not sure which size you've gotten.

My advise is to get the Medium Size model (31 mm) for a woman and not the smaller (26 or 27 mm.)

The 31mm is the preferred choice for Higgy Baby's petite yet hairy lady wrists! :D

I am afraid that Holden will beat us.
And Asp9mm will annoy his pals so much that they will wave flags and give him one just to shut him up 8-)

    I am off the race.
I have put myself on the list with 2 befriended dealers the day it was presented - but my hopes are zero to get one in the next 2 years.

:)) I wish you good luck with both. Out of interest ( and all the jokes on Top Gear) are
Alfa's as temperamental as they're supposed to be ?

I'll leave it to you in my will (the watch) as when Mrs Coop finds out I've bought another she'll kill me {:)

Well in my own personal experience, I've had a BMW 5 series, range rover, discovery, defender, jaguar x type, jaguar xk8, volvo v70 and saab 93 convertible and 4 alfas in the last 20-25 years ,so far I've had less issues with any of the alfa than I had with any of my other cars. Mrs Coop also has an Alfa which is getting on for 170K miles and she has only ever had clutch, brakes tyres done in the 5 years we've had it. The old alfa stories are harking back years I think, these days they are pretty much as good or bad as most other makes.

Thankfully Mrs Coop is not a watch expert, she will just see a black faced divers watch, which to her eyes looks the same a couple of others I have, the trickiest one was the spectre watch with the nato.
    "Is that a new watch??!?"
" no my little nest of vipers, I've just put a new strap on an old one "
" you and your bloody watches!! How watches can you wear at once "
" one less than the amount of shoes you can wear "

Just reminded me this, I've got a couple of black and grey nato straps, not omega OEM, but before the limited edition came out and the OEM straps I bought a couple and put omega buckles on to put on my standard SM300 Co ax. If any one wants one I'm happy to post to you at no cost whatsoever, just pm me and first come first served so to speak.

Yes Commandant, we all have our techniques. ;) Thanks Chriscoop so Alfa's aren't as
    unreliable as some say.
