Not only a cameo of sorts, but a shared writing credit too! Most thankful I am, my liege :007)

Most deserved it was, my friend. :)

Now let's do Permision to Slay, just to annoy Higgins :D

    :)) :)) :))

Oh, for sure we'll do that one! But meantime, "The Chattels of a Lady" already has started and includes cameos. All help welcome!

When Bond arrives in India he choses to take the long tourist route to his destinasjon.

Perhaps Bond can comment on the age of the women he meets:
sir James: The Lady doth seem older than most I meet. Even ten years my junior, at worst..

Octopussy complains to Bond: my name gets censored in all my letters to the British Isles. I hear a most malevolent Scotsman sits in his office censoring everything he can.

    :D :D Oh, THAT's going in!
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 21,815MI6 Agent
Everyone except Bond and herself blush and have problems uttering Octopussy's name ;%

Octopussy: "You let my dear father hang himself, sir James. I will be forever grateful to you."

    Working away...

Can anyone suggest funny names for the two Majors? 1) the one in the PTS who sounds like a load of bull 2) the one who plays Kamal at backgammon

    Major Fauxpas

    Major Blunder

    Major Cockup

    Major Slipp

:)) I like Major Blunder for the old guy Kamal is conning. Working on that right now.

Perhaps (a different spelling of) Major Cockup would work for the major in the PTS. It is animal related, after all?

I'm not sure about that version. First of all I don't think one should refer to other movies quite so directly. The joke about Loise Lane in QoS worked better.

Perhaps the age joke should be:
sir James: "Are you more than half my age, Milady?"
    Magda: "Barely, yes."
sir James: "Alas, but you will suffice."

The scenic route joke could be:

VJ: "The boarding house is a mere hour from here by horse."
sir James: "Very well. But only if we can ride past every notable locality in the country on our way there, shall we?"

Do you feel more in the mood to re-open the US election thread now? :p

    :))

I'm thinking about what the assassin on the island should throw instead of the yo-yo buzz saw.
A hand saw on a string?
    A roll of polishing paper?
    Measuring tape`?
    A folding rule?
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 21,815MI6 Agent
sir James: "Cockburn? Sounds like a c**k-up!"

(seems like you're not the only one cencoring :)) )
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 36,398Chief of Staff
That's the one! (will put it in immediately)

In the PTS Bond escapes by a plane disguised as a horse. Surely the mideaval version is a horse disguised as a shithouse?

You don't like the winged horse? :(

Octopussy: Thou shalt bring him to me, unharmed
Kamal : Who, sir James or the sottish nave ?
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 36,398Chief of Staff
    :D See above!
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 21,815MI6 Agent
I think the story is coming along nicely. :007)
To be honest I like my idea of the horse disguised as/in a shithouse better than the winged horse. I'll see if I can develop it by tomorrow.
On the other hand I didn't quite get the who-played-who game in the gambling house first time I read it. I'm quite quick on the uptake if you only give me enough time :D
