    right. he definately is not soulless. I watched Rouge Nation yesterday and I must say: he hung onto that plane taking off for 8! times.
    the fun thing is, this scene is just the intro and no essential plot point. there you see that he really goes all the way for his work!

    besides, he's one of a few who has been around now for 4 decades, so obviously there's something to him...

    And I would imagine the insurance company having kittens for that fact... anyone who puts that much effort... and persistence to me, is totally committed and that requires tenacity and soul.

    I'm not a fan of Cruise... he totally wrecked the Lee Child adaptation of the Jack Reacher film, but I can admire someone who is that dedicated to their craft.

    I spent two days working with Tom Cruise a couple of decades ago and couldn't fault his professionalism, commitment and dedication. There wasn't a hint of arrogance or attitude at all. I was rather ambivalent about him prior to that day, but I've never forgotten his total professionalism and politeness those days. I hope he hasn't changed.

    He seems to spend loads of time with his fans before film premiers etc. -{
    Infact much longer that many stars. Happily signing autographs, making calls
    and posing for photos.

    Oblivion was alright and a bit funner than Interstella . The Syndicate as an evil organisation felt relatively small scale and young, albiet highly trained and dangerous, with the Quantum/SPECTRE organisation perhaps being many decades old and already shown to be the power behind the throne of many Western governments and global corporations. They had won for a long time as far back as Casino Royale, with James Bond (plus many other ignorant, uncorrupted Western agents) just nibbling on the edges, slowing it down a bit so far.

    A friend of mine does some movie extra work here and there and was in "Jack Reacher". Has nothing but nice things to say about Cruise also. Professional, warm, polite, nice to everyone on set.
