Please dont all kill me.... Didnt enjoy it. Loose and wayward. And that was just my a.....e at the thought of crashing a £1M plus car :))

    You're living the dream

All I can say is that we (as a family) love Astons, always have... And I have a very understanding wife who lets me indulge my hobbies of Bond / Astons / Bikes...
After 4 Astons (2 dbs / 2 vantages), they are all special and worth making the allowances we have to to own them. Only here once!!!

Been out of circulation for a while, read this thread and thought how wonderful it is when someone else achieves their goal. Saw the car and thought you really are living the dream!!

I need you to get your wife to call mine to discuss those sacrifices for the Aston’s :D

I keep telling her it would be worth moving to a shed so we can buy one but for some reason she does not see it the same way as me??? :D

    Enjoy in good health

    Cheers :007)

It was a long road to get there, the first one was a long standing deal, once my salary hit the level a Aston cost I could buy one. She regretted that the day I came in waving my salary letter and holding up pics of cars.

The dbs was a natural progression given prices and Bond link...

I knew she'd cracked when we were driving through Europe in the first dbs, everytime video'ers went past she flicked the hair and put her Diors on!!!
    :))

    The downside comes next month

Yeah, Know what you mean have to move in stages :D

My wife accepted years ago when I got to the point of disposable income that Omega watches were a good wearable investment :D

Reality is I could sell my collection and get an entry level Aston (looking at 2008 DB9 in line with CR with body kit for real SA :D ) and she would be fine with it. My issue is I want both of course :D

Plus evey time a new film comes out I go spend several grand on clothes and accessories. If it were not for that I would bought a DBS years ago! But my calculation is once DC moves on I will have less in common with the new incumbent so will buy less of that and save more for the Aston as its on my bucket list.

I know dream on...... :D (still there is always the lottery)

    Cheers :007)

Yep my view re clothes, "new" Bond will be younger and promised too curb clothes. Plus need to wear these more!!!
The rolled Aston was a DBS mock up (db9), but there was a DBS proto used too in CR...
Having driven lots, courtesy cars etc, the db9 to dbs comparison is a non starter. Dbs is 10% better in every way, apart from looks when (subjectivebof course) in my eyes it crushes the db9

I was going to ask DB9 vs DBS and afraid you might say that - but thanks for the comparison guess I am going to have to save my sheckles then and start the next campaign on the good lady! :D

But at least I get to keep the watch collection for a while longer :D

DB9's are amazing cars, do everything really well... DBS is just epic and bonkers... Another level of speed, punch, handling, noise and looks. If you get CR or QOS grey, you also get the Bond effect, which to us guys is priceless.
Sell whatever you can and get one. Suspect prices will start to rise and also last models rolled out 2012... Age is a concern too. Hence why I changed as figured last opportunity...
