    Love the design of the space capsules... and the great John Barry music here, reminiscent of the safe cracking music in OHMSS.

    The comic gondola scene is followed by the more serious suspense of the lab scene... I like how MR contrasts one scene with another tonally...

    Pierce's scene with Wai Lin at the 'safe house' before travelling to Halong Bay in Vietnamin TND is reminiscent of this hotel scene, with the groovy gadgets and amusing banter.

    The continuing mistrust between Bond and Holly even after he's recognised her as CIA... doesn't really make sense. It's as if the uneasy 'detente' dynamic between Bond and the Soviet Anya of TSWLM is being replayed here, but it's not right for the context: Bond has always got on well with the CIA as an ally, through his friendship with Felix. There's no real basis for tension between Bond and the Americans till we get to QOS (or perhaps DAD).

    Oh totally. Wai Lin was great...I would have liked her to make an appearance in a later film (she almost did in DAD).
