An earlier stab at the title song by Barry & Leslie Bricusse was recorded by Julie Rogers, and first released in 92 on the “Best of James Bond 30th Anniversary Ltd Edition” 2 CD set. Julie went uncredited on that album, Graham Rye tracked her down and confirmed she had sung it.

Mai Ling in the titles sequence. Later, a 'bath girl' in this movie. Was also in GF and 'Call Me Bwana'.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

Music- “Bond’s Funeral” and “The Human Torpedo”. Not on the OST. Cover by Nic Raine first released in 1999 (and very satisfying to hear after decades!). The proper versions by Barry not released till 2003 (and of course better!)

Connery's acting performance sometimes seems less than fully committed in this film, but he's really good in this scene with M... subtle micro expressiveness on the face/ in the eyes

@Barbel: while I think of it, do we know why they abandoned character/actor continuity with Blofeld starting with this film?

Cos he had to actually appear in this movie, rather than be faceless?

That's fair, but why go in such a completely different direction with Blofeld compared to what we saw in FRWL and TB? It's kinda jarring. Add in that it's a different actor in every film going forward and it's really bizarre.

Same theory as Felix? "Nobody will notice"

The music here is included in a medley on the extended OST, rather than an individual track.

The espionage plot is a pretext for the fantasy of having a casual pick-up/ hook-up abroad... the fantasy of every travelling salesman of the time who wasn't 'above' that sort of thing...

She's gorgeous, period. She also has really amazing chemistry with Connery in her scenes.

His 'wife' later on is incredible, though. Just a stunning woman.

    Completely :-)
