Moore is fantastic as he conveys his contempt for Orlov. Similar to his attitude towards Zorin (and unlike the sometimes more whimsical attitude towards the villain he had in Hamilton's films).
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

I like how visible Gotell is in the shots of the helicopter flying in. I feel like many times in the Bond films they would have used a double dressed up as Gogol.

Hit in the side by a concrete stantion. I remember him describing it in the 30 years of Bond documentary. Awful, yet not only did he recover, he was on top of the Eiffel Tower in AVTAK!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

This film gives Gogol the best scenes of his tenure imho.

The fight on the train feels likeit's taken from a Western, but in a good way.

John Glen points out in his commentary that it was Arthur Wooster who was in charge of the scene and that there must have been some failure of communication causing the accident.

The blue coaches on this train are from the Compagnie International des Wagon-Lits, and are more at home on the Orient Express. So in a way a bit of a FRWL callback.

Awful stereotyping of the Bavarian couple. More 'Mind Your Language' type humour.

The security guy who adds "And he's wearing a red shirt!" That's humour in the style of a Tom Mankiewicz scripted Bond film.
