    Beautiful setpieces!
    That Octopus bed is amazing!

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

I think you're quite a bit ahead, Barbel. Bond and Octopussy just on their first snog here... now in bed.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

The spat of water on Bond’s cheek - Aki’s Death in YOLT.

Octopus does a ‘Facehugger’ from Alien. Ick!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

The death of Vijay is done well and is quite affecting.

So far, imo the only cringeworthy piece was the Tarzan Yell
President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

Funny the first time you hear it, annoying later

    Francisco - Dicky Graden?

Still amazed at his hanging about in Moonraker.

The spat of water on Bond’s cheek - Aki’s Death in YOLT.

This fight is one of the movie's more violent scenes. Another example of how Glen varies tone from one action sequence to another, sometimes jarringly. I love how Barry segues from action music to the sad piece as Octopussy looks in close up at the lake, believing Bond dead.

Now Desmond Llewelyn gives his ONLY other wholly straight performance in a scene as Q since his FRWL briefing scene.

Are you watching a PAL DVD Barbel? Plays at 25 frames per second, ie 4% faster than standard film frame rate.

Nice acting from Moore when M's driver says "No problem"

Oh, that's too technical for my mind to handle. It's happened many times so I think you may be right

See my comment above yours. I agree, by the way.

Yes, Moore is excellent in this.

    Before Barbel asks:
The station announcements are in better german than his :D

Isn't that guy who crushes the Romanov star the same actor who was giving a speech in the UN at the beginning of LALD?

The Railway used is the preserved Nene Valley Railway, near Peterborough.

I think it was also used in Goldeneye?

Some of these subterfuge scenes around the train might be dull were it not for Berkoff's and Jourdan's contrastingly brilliant styles. The creepy Russian bomb expert is a great minor villain (who seems to get away with it)

I really enjoy all of the train sequences...it's good old fashioned action-adventure stuff.

The Meyer twins are quite slight and don't have typical 'villain' faces. They must have been cast mainly on the basis of their skills with knives.

Strange how the Ppoduction didn't use AKs for the DDR soldiers.
And Bond doesn't use a PKK, but a Walther P5 instead.

The nuclear bomb plot always reminds me of Frederick Forsyth's The Fourth Protocol.

I wonder if the rail Mercedes inspired all the railway compatible track maintenance road vehicles we have today?

Sounds like Berkoff is dubbing the soldier speaking with Golgol?
