Watching this repeatedly, still not affected by it.

I could watch this scene everyday without feeling something, I'm numb maybe? 😅

    more Floyd references please!

@Dovy if you assume the Bond who Returns in Bond26 has to be the same Bond who we see vapourised in the gif above, how do you explain Bond being newly promoted to double oh status in Casino Royale? and why does he remember Blofeld as his foster brother but not as the villain who killed his wife and whom he later dropped down a chimney?

Good to be able to see that scene again clearly. Despite the fact that I personally believe that it's not Bond-ish to have such a sad dramatic ending. I hope there is more optimism and smiles with the next Bond, say a Roger Moore Jr. style. That is also despite the fact of several repeated predictable parts of every pre-Craig Bond.

Dovy, Welcome to the Machine that is AJB007.

Bond won’t be Breathe-ing anymore, you could say he ran out of Time and now he’s part of that Great Gig in the Sky. He won’t be Coming Back to Life. He should have Run Like Hell from those missiles…

NTTD not a great movie but it made back its Money.

No need for Sorrow, though as James Bond will return.

Let’s hope the Lunatics on the Path aren’t let anywhere near the next script. The ending of NTTD was enough to give anyone Brain Damage. Personally, I would have liked to see Bond Have a Cigar, in tribute to old Felix before the missiles struck.

I have High Hopes for the next movie and the takings should Eclipse those of NTTD, even if the script has Echoes of previous entries in the series.

As to who should play the next Bond? A younger chap preferably but Any Colour You Like.

The people posting here are behaving like Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict. Is There Anybody Out There. It’s Never Too Late to change the Final Cut.

    Cue Main Theme.

Seriously though. Sorry For starting this. I was Having One of My Turns. But it is Yet Another Movie some people love some people hate. Welcome To The Machine.

I have a challenge for members who thinks Bond survived NTTD: Can you think of a way he could die that would even convince you he had to be dead and there was no possible way he could've survived?

I just saw a brief video on YouTube giving an alternative ending, taken from a different piece where Bond is shown swimming away from the exploding background, without further comment. That would have been nice given that back home his colleagues mourned him over a drink.
