Reading Batman out of sequence, catching up through reprints, when I was even younger than I am now it was fun to see the different varieties of Batmobile he got around in.

The sad news is that this is the last issue of The Department of Truth. It really does end here. But…the news is that a new 5-issue arc is being released this year, so when it is complete I will post the latest story.

THE DEPARTMENT OF TRUTH - Deviation Seven - Fictional Women - Part Four
So, folks, on that poignant ending we look forward to the end of the year when the new story arc is complete. I hope everyone who has followed this series has enjoyed what I consider to be one of the greatest graphic novels of all-time.
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

I’m stunned they stopped there…even if they are going to carry this on…I’ve loved every panel of this…
They can't stop there with so many unfinished story threads ... can they? I for one welcome our new artist overlords continuing ASAP. One point: surely Marilyn was found in the nude? Though I never knew her at all, of course.

It's good that we didn't need to wait months for more of this tale. It's in that space, I think liminal is the word, between two worlds in this case fact and fiction that makes a story compelling.
So, this is the latest issue which landed this week. The next is due in about 4 weeks time and I will post that as soon as it arrives.
@Sir Miles@Barbel I agree with you that this is a stunning piece of…liminal/faction…if that is the correct phrasing…there are rumours of a mini-series, let’s hope that is true!

Roll on tomorrow 👏🏻
Seconded.... but "completed"?

I thought she was too…but difficult to see from the twenty-second row…🤔
SAUCER COUNTRY Part 4 - 1 of 2

Continued tomorrow…
This is a good substitute for (looks around furtively) "The Department Of Truth". Not that I ever read that. Oh no. I deny everything.
I too have no knowledge of what you speak 😶
Well, what do you know? The first Department of Truth issue has just landed! Now, do I post soon or leave it until all 5 issues are received?

To be continued…
I vote sooner rather than later.
The saucer story is good, though DoT is better.
Inside pages from British comics…
Comic strip writers required…I wonder how many made it?
Birthday Comic Covers - 24 February - 2 March
I only recall half of those inside comic comic strips 😯
Less for me, but fascinating to see now.
BATMAN #62 - December 1950-January 1951 - The Secret Life of the Catwoman - In which we learn of the origin of Catwoman…
Enjoyed that Catwoman story very much, it seemed a bit like the 60s TV Batman series in tone.
ACTION COMICS #345 - January 1967 - The Day Candid Camera Unmasked Clark Kent’s Identity - In which the title explains the plot!
That was funny, and a good example of the real life guest approach DC used occasionally.
