Looking at the news I'm glad we only got 15 degrees celsius today.

There is some sad news for Bond fans. According to various sources, George Lazenby has dementia now, and he's being looked after by his ex-wife.

I know George put a statement out last year saying he was retiring because "growing old is no fun," but to read this is heartbreaking.

Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"

If this is true, it is indeed sad news.

Very sad to hear that George Lazenby has dementia. I hope he gets all the care and support he needs to get through this.

Thanks for providing that link. It's sad to hear that George was caught up in the Los Angeles wildfires.

Denise Richards has gone to court and gotten a restraining order against her ex-husband Aaron Phypers. He has been voilent and threathened to kill Denise and himself if she reported him to the police. I hope Denise finds a man deserving of her in the future.

LIFE ON THE LAST LIGHTHOUSE (1973)

A fascinating BBC documentary on the lives of the keepers of the Bishop Rock Lighthouse, located 55 km west of the tip of the Cornish peninsula.

The documentary provides an insight into the daily workings of the lighthouse and the grit and professionalism needed for the job of a lighthouse keeper.

    Excellent film.

Great video! Thanks. The neighboring fjord from here for some reason supplied a large percentage of the men for the Norwegian lighthouse service. They have a lighthouse museum that I've never visited for some reason, but now I will.

Thank you for the kind words N24.

I hope you enjoy your visit to the museum.

I've read a few of his books but preferred Asimov. I built up a nice little collection of his works but eventually got rid of them.

On Monday we have another election in this strange country, and I'm bursting with pride because of how boring it has been! It's a privilege to live in a country with boring politics these days. 😁

  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 42,040Chief of Staff

Our politics is more strange than boring these days. The Deputy PM has just resigned (long story) so major cabinet reshuffle now complete. Relatively new party called Reform doing very well in the opinion polls.

Over the last decade especially British politics has been anything but boring. Today was no exception. Even a day can be a long time in politics, never mind a week!
