This is a couple of months old news, but there was a new develoment few days ago, when the Supreme Court denied the possibility of an appeal and therefore upheld the sentences laid out in lower court.
I haven't seen you around for ages, 0073! Have you been away or did you lurk around the darker corner of the forum such as Memorabelia or clothing & lifestyle? 😁
There has been some s**t going on, that's kept me busy. But now I'm having a couple of days worth of Chritsmass holiday, so I'm able to "Bond" with you guys.

Here's a podcast episode on the espionage and special forces side of the recent US attack on Venezuela and the snatching of president Maduro and his wife. There are many who see serious problems about the legality of this action and the strategic and political visdom of it, but this episode doesn't go into this.
Something on Twitter/X from someone who being in the Norwegian Resistance; @Number24 might be interested though I'm not sure Norway is in anyone's sights these days; I don't know its mineral capacity.
Thanks. Norway doesn't have much valuable minerals, but we are the world's 12th biggest oil and gas exporter and the biggest supplier of petroleum to Europe. My country also has ice free harbours north of the polar circle and our coast is key to having control of the North Atlantic. Back in the cold war the US general commanding all NATO forces said: "If we lose control of Norway NATO will use nuclear weapons within three days". In other words we're much more strategicly important than we'd like.
The Establishment celebrated its 70th birthday recently - by which I mean, the date the term 'Establishment' was first coined, by Henry Fairlie - in response to the whitewash investigation into the Burgess-Maclean affair, in which nobody was found to be of blame. This strategy is employed in many areas - individuals may be held to account, but if their wrongdoing came with official State authorisation and, crucially, incriminates a good many State employees, there will be a cover-up.
A recent edition of The Oldie did a piece on this, based on upcoming publication of Master of Lies: How Anthony Blunt's Treachery Shaped Our World by Piers Blofeld. As pointed out in the attachment, he is the nephew of the cricket commentator Henry Blofeld, after whom Fleming named the Bond villain.
Nanada Devi is the second highest mountain in India. Some of the climbers wamed themselves on the plutonium in the generator during a storm near the summit!
Here's a news segment from 1995, 50 years to the day after Then Crown Prince Olav returned from the UK to Oslo after the war. Once again the two SOE agents who acted as his bodygard on that can trip are in the same car, driving the same route. Max Manus is also in the same uniforrm and carrying the same submachine gun. 50 years earlier more than 10 000 German soldiers were still in their barrack sin Oslo and 50 Gestapo men were still on the run. The security issues were clear and present. In the interview Max Manus is asked what he would've done if a live hand grenade was thrown into the car back then. "I was ordered (by sønsteby?) to throw myself at the grenade, so that's what I would've done. You can figure out the result yourself ..". Sortly after Sønsteby trined the royal bodyguard for the police.
The people's king! When foreign monarchs and other heads of state asked King Olav why he didn't use bodyguards much of the time he replied:"I have four million bodyguards". Back then the population of Norway was four million.
That's fascinating (no, not the toilet). I didn’t see that in the news here, though there was something about Chinese agents in the UK recently- but then again, there often is.
I think the closing of the toilet is fascinating. But the Chinese bought a house on Andøya and wanted to install a powerfull receiver there. Andøya Space Port is intended for launching satellites into orbit. They also spied on Bodø air field from an old bunker, possibly the same bunker as the Soviet agent Selmer Nilsen used to spy on U2 planes back in the early 1960's?

The CIA lost a nuclear generator on up of a 26 000 feet mountain in the Himalayas in 1964!
Nanada Devi is the second highest mountain in India. Some of the climbers wamed themselves on the plutonium in the generator during a storm near the summit!
The whole story reminds me a lot of this book:

Crown Prince Olav...later King Olav V of Norway.
A brave and noble soul. May he rest in peace.

Norwegian secret service (PST - yes, really) has arrested a couple of Chinese citizens for espionage against Andøya Space Port in the north.
Now the police has tightened security, including closing this designer public toilet nearby. (yes, really)
