NP and DG, yes, both pictures are of myself although a couple of years ago may be exagerating a little - have just tried finding where I posted the picture from, as I usually make some sort of reference as to when a picture was taken, have to look further.
NP, the odds are that I have put on weight since that picture was taken (just found it, April 1995, bit more than a couple), may well have been about 10 stone then, my avatar picture was taken by a BBC reporter a couple of years ago, when (as now) my weight is about 12 stone.
Both - the background is one end of my flat, set up for the shoot, another book shelf is where the display case is in the pic.

The poster I'm referring to is behind you in the photo and features Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the Aston Martin DB5, what looks like the Batmobile, Lady Penelope's FAB1 and perhaps the Saint's P1800 Volvo among other vehicles. I know Dinky also did the FAB 1, but I don't think they did the '66 Batmobile.
