David mentioned in his vlod that the Rag and Bone Henley was still out there. I found it, in limited sizes, here:

Austrailian Brand Calibre has a nice alternative to the Lanvin knit blazer at a nice price.

The blazer looks really good, so I have ordered one. Not that I have any interest in Daniel Craig's personal effects, but it's certainly something different. Strangely, I'm not familiar with Calibre at all. Their full prices are far higher than the average store, does anyone have any experience with them? Should I expect a high quality piece that will last more than a season or two?
  • JagJag Posts: 1,167MI6 Agent
Well, since no-one replied to my query, I took the risk, ordered online and... it's a perfect match! I was concerned about the size, but got the right one. They have a very good returns policy, so I thought there was no risk. The blazer is really a glorified cardigan, but both the quality and finish seem great. Even the cuff buttons are functional! The quality of the cotton is great, but it is dry clean only - presumably to ensure the blazer keeps its shape. I would not pay the full price ($300) for it, but at $99 it's definitely worth it,

Sorry Jag, I took the plunge just last week, too, but haven't received it yet from Oz. Looks great, and the price was good, too.

    Cheers,

Coincidentally enough, look what arrived this afternoon from Oz. Box-fresh, so a little creased, but you get the idea. This is a medium, and I'm usually a 38/48. Looks a little big, but I don't think I could have gone down to a small. Arrived really quickly from Calibre. Please excuse the photos, as they were a bit rushed by my son:

Very nice! How's the fit? According to their website it seems they have a more tailored fit as an XL is sized for a 44" chest when they are normally 45"-46".

Well, as I mentioned, I'm a medium/38/48 in everything, and this is a medium. So I wouldn't say that it is overly fitted, but the quality is there. I wouldn't have paid $299 AUS, possibly, but I do feel that at $99AUS it is a bit of a steal, and will be a great addition to my summer wardrobe, once I get it out of figurative mothballs!

I totally agree with all you said, Meesta Bawnd. It looks even better on you than it does on me... I got an XL one. My question is - are you supposed to leave the bottom button undone, like on a suit jacket? All photos of knit blazers I've seen online follow this principle, yet on Calibre's website the model has both buttons done up. It doesn't make a huge difference to how it looks on you, since it is stretchy, unlike a suit jacket...

A full weekend of flights called for some comfortable attire, so I decided to take some inspiration from DC/Bond. JV Spectre jacket, CR era Sunspel riviera shirt, Frame Niagra jeans, RM "O" ring belt and J Crew Kenton's.

Very nice looking shoes. I purchased them for a good price but ended up returning them. The Nike Air Max's DC prefers run very narrow. I would have had to go up one and a half sizes to get sufficient width.
  • jared_nomakjared_nomak Posts: 1,942MI6 Agent
Yeh I have normally been a 10.5 in Nike but they were just to small for my liking so sizes up half a size. I have shoes varying from 9uk to 12uk just brand to brand. These would suit someone normally a size 10uk in Nike.
I bought the size up for £140 so just trying to cover these costs.

Did anyone grab one of these whilst they were on sale, and having second thoughts? Missed out the day this was posted, but really interested in grabbing one, if possible.

    Many thanks,

Definitely looks like a dodgy site (Google says the same). I wouldn't be buying anything from there.

Footaction has the Nike Air Max in Ross's post.

I was assuming they were a dodgy site as was looking for another pair of size 12 USA ones

    http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Foot_Action

Has anyone ordered and received them as I just paid $170 for a pair on eBay :(
  • Westward_DriftWestward_Drift Posts: 3,091MI6 Agent
I ordered two pairs of them from the footaction US site for $100 each with a discount code. Got them in a week. Returned them because too narrow for me and got my refund. They own Footlocker here in the US I believe. They also have their own chain of stores.

As you may know DC has started wearing the black version of the RM williams belt with silver nickel rings. I bought a size 40 that arrived today however its a too small for my 35" waist and I need the next size up. If anybody is after a brand new one with tags let me know

I posted a couple of pics a few pages back. Didn't get a response so thought I must've been just seeing things

Speaking of those photos, is that still the brown with gold rings RM belt or has he bought himself the black with silver rings one?
