It may need a second viewing as the cast is great! And I usually like that type of movie!! Noded off during it? Weird?

To be honest, it is not my type of film. If there were a few commandos
Hiding in the woods, attacking a castle of terrorists, holding a princess
With plenty of explosions and car chases. Maybe have Vin Diesel crash
A car or two during a big chase sequences. ....... I might be interested ! :))

House of Whipcord .... a strange little film from 1974.

From IMDB ... 'An insane couple take over the operation of an old jail and seek out, abduct, and punish young women who they believe have escaped proper justice. A beautiful young French model becomes their latest victim and must attempt escape or face an almost certain death."

Hammer Horror in style with obligatory boobies on show for no real reason :))

I saw Into The Woods recently with my two teen granddaughters and we all enjoyed it (although they thought it was "a little weird"). But speaking of that film, I have always thought Emily Blunt would do nicely as a Bond Girl.

The Two Faces of January (2014)

This Movie based on a novel by Patricia Highsmith (the Riply-books) is about Chester MacFarland (Viggo Mortensen)and his wife Colette (Kirsten Dunst) who are traveling in Europe in 1962. In Greece they meet American expat and tricster Rydal (Oscar ).
This is a fine thriller that reminds me a lot of Hitchcock. It's nice to see a movie that's all about acting and story, also I liked the Greek and Turkish locations. Recomended.
I have also mentioned before how much I would like to see Viggo Mortensen play a Bond villan. People are not used to seeing him play a villan, he would look convincing fighting Bond and he is a fine actor.

    I saw "Automata" (2014). It's a post-apo ....apoca ..... (checks internet) post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie starring Antonio Banderas.
This time the earth has been destroyed by solar storms and only a small fraction of humanity survives. We have buildt robots to help build shields against the sun and the spreading dessert. The robots have two protocols they must follow: they can not hurt anything living and they can not repair themselves.
Banderas plays an insurance investigator for ROC robotics, the firm that builds the robots. Banderas discovers robots who repair themselves. If they can repair themselves they are also smart enough to improve themselves and they would get too inteligent and powerful, so ROC panics. The story, acting and visuals are great. While the movie looks great and there are some good action sequences, story is in the centre of it all. I would also like to mention that Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, who was considered to play Madeline Swann in SPECTRE, plays Banderas' wife. I think this is an origional sci-fi movie and well worth watching.

    Transcendence :
A Twilight Zone episode stretched out for two hours with Johnny Depp.
    Interesting but very slow.

Under Siege 2. Steven Segal returns as Casey Ryback and he on holiday with his niece. The train to LA they are travelling on is hijacked by an ex CIA agent- turned computer terrorist Travis Dane and his gang of mercs. Dane wants to use the train as a mobile base to threaten to blow up a nuclear reactor underneath the Pentagon, using a satellite weapon he created.

LTK's Everett Mcgill plays Penn, the head merc.

A great action film, much better than the first.
