    ^ That's Birmingham, UK I'm talking about by the way my American friends, not the one in Alabama :))

    I know for American members, Their Homeland for a location might seem a bit boring but I'd
    love to see Bond back in New York.

    Seeing Bond once again in the city where I was born and raised wouldn't bore this American. Bring it on! :D

    I'd love to see Bond travel to where I was born and raised. Except that Birmingham is perhaps not that exotic or glamorous :#

    They should have had a scene in Skyfall where he stopped off at Hopwood Services on the M42 for a cuppa and a bacon roll on the way to Scotland :))

    I'll have a Bacon Roll. Fried, not grilled.

    Yes, that's what I'd like to see as well. But no Japanese disguise this time.

    You were born in NYC? I was born in Manhattan.
    Like Bond said, small world. -{

    Small world indeed! I was actually born in The Bronx, but I was raised in Manhattan (East Harlem to be exact). Great city and it would be exciting to see Bond back there for the first time since LALD.

    I used to deliver computer materials to a building on the same block as the Apollo theatre, and the UN building, so I was seeing LALD locations regularly for a while. :007)

    As a mid ranking civil servant, I am not sure Bond would be able to afford both a cuppa AND a bacon roll at Hopwood.... :))

    You're absolutely correct. DC is maybe 5'9" (arguable) and SC is at least 6'2".

    Elsewhere on this forum, I argued that a good director (and DC has worked with Spielberg) has no problem making an actor look shorter or taller but that SC (who has done the same) always comes across as a big man while DC doesn't. Irrelevant, unless the actor is playing a big man... like James Bond....

    So we're back on DC's height again? It really does not bother me personally. Bond in the novels is only 183 centimetres (6 feet). This is not an abnormal height for a western male so anyone near that being an inch or two under do not stand out that much. It's only when they get closer to being over by one or two and carrying more bulk they stand out. All the actors save Brosnan (who was closest to Bond's height) were actually a bit too large for the character. Bond was not supposed to be like Superman - who you'd notice for obvious reasons in a room (notice Chris Reeves when he was Clark Kent - he still stood way out). To me, Craig is fine. He's not as imposing physically which makes him all the more real as an agent nor does he have the model good looks of the other actors. Bond looked a lot like Hoagy Carmichael or a combo of HC/Fleming or even Peter Fleming (who I think Fleming was really describing). Hardly models or imposing figures. Some may feel the film character does need to be imposing - I don't, but again, it's just the way I prefer it.

    So we're back on DC's height again?

    Just banter, CA, not to be taken seriously. By this point (8 years and 3 highly successful films) it's irrelevant, if it ever was relevant in the first place.
    Nice point re Peter Fleming, btw.

    Size isn't important, as I've pointed out to every
