    Hey Guys,

I thought I would have received the Y-3 replica sample this week, nevertheless I'm sure it will arrive early next week for some better pics. I would ask however, if you believe there is something that needs a minor adjustment to please provide a constructive comment on what specifically you think may be inaccurate. If those of you with original jackets could PM me with comparison photos, I would be most grateful. I am as always quite happy to make necessary adjustments. I will however say this... working from numerous images I am aware of some variances in the collar design of this particular range. Some items that are being shown as movie accurate items don't have the same features, when compared directly to the film. For example; The collar on this item is rather basic, but it does however have a collar stand not dissimilar to a dress shirt, while some of these jackets (in the range) do not have this. From the images provided I'm very happy with the Haiti jacket so far, but again please PM me to highlight something you believe to be inaccurate.

Just an update on the harrington... still having delays with YKK zippers, but these jackets are priority once the zippers are received. Collin is hoping to have them finished around May 10. Sorry for the delay.

    All the best,

    Daniel

    Hey gents,

Just a heads up... I received the QoS Haiti Jacket (Y3 Replica) sample and I have to say, I'm impressed. I'd like to make a couple of small changes, but I'll post some photos tomorrow in natural light which will show up the black much better. Correct fabric... 98% Cotton twill 2% elastane. Very impressed.

Production will be a run of around 50-60 jackets for this replica at this stage, contact me if interested.

    :)

Finally found time to take some photos of the QoS Haiti Jacket sample (Y3 replica) today under natural light, which has shown the jacket details up quite well I think. Very pleased with this, but as always let me know what you think. Shoot me an email if you're not yet on my notification list and would like to be when this one becomes available. (probably 6-8 weeks away)

    Thanks guys, all the best,

    Daniel

Great looking Haiti jacket, wish the Harrington pictures were taken in similar lighting as they're very dark and hard to discern.

Only real nitpick is the collar seems to be very high on the Y-3 replica as seen on the first picture.

I see what you're saying. I've been looking at it for an hour or so now. My pics are taken from quite low, so that plays a part. Also, most of the shots from the film have the collar quite 'rolled' through the collar stand ie; more of an arc (think rainbow shape) from the base of the stand to the collar point, whereas being new and unworn the collar on my replica was quite crisp, not unlike an 'A' shape, but I'm sure it would settle down with a few wears and some 'training' with how to sit and roll over lol. This pic from the film shows the collar sitting quite crisp.

I like the collar stand; not only does it appear screen-accurate but it makes the jacket look more unique as well.

I've compared a few movie stills of the jacket to yours and I think it looks great. I'm on your notification list and I look forward to when that jacket is available. I've been looking for a decent alternative to the Y3 jacket for ages.

Thank you gentlemen for your feedback on the Haiti Jacket, I appreciate it.

    HARRINGTON UPDATE:
They are on the sewing line, having finally received all the appropriate materials. Collin expects to have them completed in 3-4 days, fingers crossed they will ship to me by the end of the week, which means I'll have them by Tuesday next week. Probably a day or two to get some good photos for you all and get them listed online. Hopefully they'll be available by Thursday next week.

Sorry for the delay gents, but thanks for waiting patiently, this manufacturing caper can have long lead times especially when the details of the product need to be very specific as is the case with replicas.

    All the best,

Sorry for the delay, THE JACKETS ARE FINISHED!!!

They will hopefully be shippped to me by Tuesday next week, its DHL so fingers crossed I have them by next weekend. These are terrible photos taken by my manufacturer... you will get much better photos from me, but nevertheless I'm pretty happy with what I see in the pics.

    Thank you Thomas,

I'm very pleased having made a lot of small changes. I should have them either Friday this week or Monday Next week. Time flies, but this production run started when I made contact with my manufacturer way back on Feb 9, it is indeed a very drawn out process, but I think we're on a winner with this one. It will take me a day or two to get some good photos and put the listing up on my new storefront, but I'll send out the email to all you guys personally when they arrive, and then again when they are listed.

Is that a brown zip pull?

    I have the same question.
In the picture the zip pull looks brown and you told us this is the finished product. Or was the wrong color just on the prototype?
  • kaddkadd Posts: 917MI6 Agent
I'm sure Dan will answer, but I believe the tab on the zip has always been brown leather.

Dark brown. Exactly the same as my 2 previous runs and the sample jacket (as shown below) The actual colour is more a dark chocolate brown. Looks great against the navy. The photos where it appears a lighter brown is under the harsh flash, you'll notice the lining of the jacket also 'pops' and appears much brighter in colour than to the naked eye.

    Hey guys,

    http://royalefilmwear.storenvy.com/

As a courtesy to those on my notification list I have left it 48hrs before announcing it here. Quite a few jackets are already sold. Please follow my link for more images of the jacket, I must say I am delighted with them. It’s late here again in Oz (just after midnight) and I wore my Harrington out tonight, which was a rewarding experience to say the least, having spent most of the night chatting to a lovely young lady by the name of Laura who was particularly interested in my ‘style’ (lol) I have a very hoarse voice from talking over the music, but I can still type!!!

To those of you who have already purchased one of my jackets, thank you very much for your support, and to those who would like to see more information, please follow the link above.

    Have a great weekend gentlemen,

    Daniel.

Mine just turned up in the mail (luckily working from home today). Gotta say, I'm really really impressed. Its a nice really deep blue almost black. While it has just literally turned up and I've only worn it for about 4 minutes, my first impression is that I'm really happy with it for the price and it's much better quality than I would expect from a "replica" item.

    Thanks very much Martin?

Really great to get some rewarding feedback. They have been selling well and I just wanted to let everyone know that there is only 1 XS left. So if that is your size I hope that is fair warning.

I am always looking to improve, so if you have some suggestions please don't hesitate to contact me directly at royalefilmwear@gmail.com

I've ordered the small in hopes it will be good, but may need to get an XS depending on the small fit. So members, if you possibly may be interested in swapping, keep me in mind.

I just received my jacket and have to congratulate Dan on a great job. I bought one of his original versions, and the improvements with this one make it very special. I really like the thicker material.

I bought a small rather than medium this time, for a slimmer fit, and everything fits great. Even the sleeves! ;)
