Great idea for a thread though, AJBers in all their sexiest outfits ? :))
Then again given the membership, perhaps not ! :D

I'm not a collector of clothing but I do buy things in the style or close to
what Bond has worn. A simple blue blazer and a white turtle neck jumper,
and I'm Bond from the PTS of Moonraker. :)
I'd love to see that tp :x

Infact quite recently I was asked by a member what regiment I served in, after posting the answer I got that concerned I went back and deleted the info :# I've also done that with pictures of myself on this thread, but then seeing James Brosnan, MrIceGuy and others doing it happily I've kinda relaxed about it a bit.

Someone sent me an email once asking why I cut off my head in the pics. I gave 3 reasons:
    a) I'm ugly
    b) You've heard how a camera adds 10 pounds? In my case, it adds 10 uglies
    c) I live in country where I do have to take security for myself and my family pretty seriously. So I keep a low profile.

Makes a lot of sense to keep yourself as private as you need when online. As it depends
on where in the world you are, as to how safe you need to be. There are parts like the North
of England where even seeing an "electronic image" would have you called a witch and burned ! :p
Sadly most of us will never meet, but i'm sure some recognition ( like a lapel pin) could identify us.

:)) yes particularly the the area between north Yorkshire and Scotland :p
Of course it's security for me and family that fueled my trepidation, I spent years waiting for some repercussions from my previous career and life, I became paranoid..... Still am a bit suspicious of cars that follow me for too long etc etc, I live in a different area now and have changed my surname and many years have passed, I still won't let my kids put a picture of me on their social media but I doubt anyone would look for me on a bond website and even if they did they only have north Yorkshire to go by, it's a pretty big county. I'd be most fearful of someone taking my entire wardrobe and holding it for ransome! :o

Whenever a particularly awful outfit appears on our screen, my wife always teases me with "Hope James Bond doesn't wear that in the next film" :)) She knows me too well.

I always do wonder what my limit is. What would Craig's Bond have to wear for me not to copy him.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Nice post. I have the Herring Canterbury's. Decent enough boots. I'd say for dry ground only since they are Blake stitched.

One point of correction, the sunglasses shown with the Mathis villa outfit are not the Markos, which are from Skyfall, but are the FT108s. It is these replicas Magnoli has coming out next month.

You went with boat shoes and the Surcingle belt for the Venice yacht look! That's exactly how I wear it. You been spying on me man :))

Great post! I am absolutely with you on the "same cardigan" theory. I've always believed it's meant to be the same one.

I have a slim fit black (non shawl collar) cardigan and au have worn it already with the last outfit you recommended :) I can use the shawl collar now the weather is getting cooler.

Thanks! Funny thing is it's so hot where I live that 99% of the time I can't wear a cardigan. I still use my 2008 Zara alternative and even though it's close to 8 years old, it still basically looks brand new. So I really have no use for 2 black cardigans.

Thanks very much! You have helped so much with my outfits, glad to be of inspiration to you!

Here is another completed outfit: the Spectre Westminster Bridge outfit:

My version is a River Island jacket (black instead of dark navy, but in the film it looks black anyway!), mock turtleneck from Primark, trousers from Next and Topman chukkas.

This is a great entry in an already outstanding series. The first reason is that NONE of us needs three black cardigans that only differ in minor details (unless you are a hardcore collector building a collection never meant to be worn). The second is that the joy of being a Bond fan is learning from and utilizing the tips that first Fleming and then later the film Bond taught us about personal style. I'm not into cosplay. I like to dress well and will always choose clothes that flatter my age, coloring, and physique. But Bond has opened my eyes in how to look good without aping an ad in GQ.

All this black cardigan talk has me trying to replace my Prada item, it's getting on a bit now but finding a replacement is frustrating..... Perfect except no patch pockets, patch pockets but wrong knit pattern, etc etc X-(

Cheverian: Glad you're liking those posts! They're fun to do.

Updates to the Solden Jacket post with lots of new options. Credit given to those who found a couple of them!

And today is the last day to use the code ICONIC to get the deal on one of Magnoli's Bond ties.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

I've received a question about the Onfire jacket and re-visited the website where I found it.

    http://www.mandmdirect.com/01/details/OF1954/Onfire-Mens-Jacket-Black [Haiti?]
    http://www.mandmdirect.com/01/details/OF1935/Onfire-Mens-Suede-Bomber-Jacket-Navy [Westminster Bridge?]

I know these have imperfect details but so have some others.

It seems that Lindy Hemming was channeling Sean Connery's knit tie with Pierce's Scotland\King funeral tie.

Now for the low low price of $2.79 plus free shipping (it didn't take more than 2 weeks to reach me, if I remember properly; you can expedite shipping for about a dollar) we can as well.

    s-l1600.jpg

http://www.ebay.com/itm/141922762627?var=441057537826 and remember to get TIE #9.

P.S. I ordered #14 hoping for a Morocco tie alternate, but I guess it is a bit too red.

    s-l1600.jpg

Perhaps one can use it as an alternate to the TWINE Pipeline Tie?
    Yes. Consssssiderably.

PPK: those are a great match! I have post on gloves and scarves coming up. Those will be added, credit to you.

armenianmovieman: nice work! I also have a post on grenadine ties coming up, so I'll make sure it gets added with credit to you.

I'm hoping to get a new post up tomorrow, but for now I've added an interesting new affordable option for the R.M. Williams plaited belt

    http://www.iconicalternatives.com/2015/12/08/r-m-williams-plaited-leather-belt/

and updated the Dior Mr. White jacket post (credit for the finds given where due!)

Working on something big for you all ..... :v

100% lambswool, and £35 delivered, I'm happy with this as a replacement for my 6/7 year old Prada one.
