    He's actually English.

    Well, that's close enough. ;)

Now, now ... don't get all defensive :))

I only stated that because with the Huston connection you could assume he'd be American ;)

Anyway, the best man who never got the job is Gerard Butler. He could have used his Scottish accent to the full. (In fact, I can't remember the last time I saw him in a film were he uses it!!)

    Just vigilant, milady, just vigilant.

Why not? He'd only be Double Oh Seventy.

Henry Cavill gets my vote. He's been my choice for the next Bond since first watching The Man From UNCLE in 2015, unfortunately his commitments to the DC universe mean it will probably never happen... :#

Aidan Turner could probably turn in a respectable performance as well, though...

In general I think the next 007 ought to be more overtly witty and lighthearted, in the style of Moore or Brosnan, as this would provide a good clear contrast with the darker flourishes of the Craig era.

I feel like Nicholas Hoult might be more possible than most. He's got plenty of film experience, the right age and more or less the look.

He's interesting, but Hoult himself has called Ed Skrein "a taller, more handsome version of me". Ed Skrein has an edgy look I like for Bond.

Slightly strange statement if he did say that: he’s shorter than Hoult :D
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,371MI6 Agent
I didn't check (and neither did Hoult it seems), but Skrein is still 6' 1/2'' so he's certainly tall enough.

I've looked at the list and gone for Cavill. Easily the best option in my opinion.
    Yes. Considerably!

Still hoping Tom Hiddleston can be convinced to take the role. Needs to be offered soon though. He's getting close to 40.

I'm a personal advocate for Callum Turner as the next James Bond.

I knew of several of these fellows. I think a few of them would make a good Bond. I’d love to see Chris Hemsworth as the next Q. Not joking. I think it would be awesome to have a non-nerdy fellow as the nerdy guy.

"Keeping British end up, sir." - RM "This never happened to the other fellow." - JL "I must be dreaming." SC

Callum Turner is a good age, good height, British. But not sure about his look (he looks better in pictures other than the one you selected {:)) I think he's the type that will look better at 40 than he does now at 30. Just my opinion.

The way things are going the next Bond is probably around 14 years old right now. :s
Regarding Henry Cavill, from everything I have been reading these days, it would appear that he will continue to be Superman which would more than likely eliminate him as Bond.

I like Sam Heughan as the next Bond. He's 40, but he doesn't really look it.

Ed Skrein looks good in these photos:

I used to be very much against James Norton as Bond, but now I like him as 007 more and more. He's only 35, so it's possible Bond26 get realeased before he turns 40.

I know who I don't want it to be - Tom Hardy (nothing but a charmless thug, though he's aged out of contention, I think), and James Norton.

    Anyone else will be fine.

For Bond? That would certainly be an interesting casting decision :))
