Goldfinger talks to the gangsters. What wonderful work by Ken Adam. What terrible dialogue (except for Goldfinger himself)!

Unrelated: Boris Johnson just got moved to intensive care.

Thanks for the note. Strange and scary times when real-world news interrupts even two hours out for a Bond movie. Wishing Boris well.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

About to start the stupid 'tell the plot to people who are gonna die' scene.
it is a very expensive looking presentation to give to men who will never leave the room alive

The music for this scene is called "Teasing The Korean"

Love it how he pulls the floor from under their feet just to show the model.

Goldfinger is suddenly as passionate about excelling in crime as he is about gold.

Oh, that is worrying. I'm hardly a supporter of his but this is bad to hear.

When Bond is under the model, there is a brief snatch of Gert Frobe's own voice before Michael Collins starts dubbing him again

Are they fighting over an LP52?

Wow yeah, never noticed that before!

There's a nastiness in this film to the way in which Bond breaks necks by kicking heads. (There was the guard at the heroin plant in the PTS as well as the 'teased' Korean.)
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

I'm not a fan of his but I wish him well, both because he's a human being and because I don't envy the chaos that will ensue if he dies.

Politicians should be removied in elections, not illness or death. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Fleming created a character called "Napoleon Solo" for what later became "The Man from UNCLE" which caused some legal difficulty with the character "Mr Solo" in the book and film of GF. It got sorted out (long story).

Mr Solo's drive could have been cut, like Calvin Dyson says. Just leave his scenes at the farm.
